My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
Being very fortunate to travel, my wife and I decided to traveo to Hawaii. It was our first trip to that paradisaical place. The experience was fabulous from the very beginning. We flew to the island, and before the plane could land, we were amazed at beautiful blue and clarity of the sea. As we reached towards the beach we were able to see the bottom of the ocean.
The Immorality of the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy Throughout the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy in 1893 and the annexation of the islands as a territory, to the statehood granted in 1959, the United States has committed immoral and unnecessary actions against the indigenous people of Hawaii. Queen Liliuokalani had been freshly bestowed the position of reigning sovereignty in 1891, after the current king Kalakaua had passed away and the second-in-line, W.P. Leleiohoku, had already died. She was the first and last ruling Queen of the Hawaiian monarchy, and she was displeased with the state of the monarchy after her brothers rule. The monarchy had lost power under Kalakaua after he had been forced to sign the Bayonet constitution, a
My trip to Sandusky, Ohio With all the significance that this trip holds, I couldn't have been anymore paralyzed with fear. Filled with both excitement and nervousness, I almost thought my three hour trip was nonexistent. I told myself, "this is something new for you and everyone else in your family, so make the best of it". It was all so true, I was finally going to Cedar Point after tons of years. Just feeling my body tremble from amusement of fulfilling one of many childhood dreams, was something to live for.
Hawaii’s culture is about 1500 years old. The culture started when Polynesians voyaged to Hawaii and settled there. Hawaiian culture is based on three main aspects. Food such as broiling pig, taro and banana. Dance including the hula or as it was traditionally called Kahiko and warfare/weapons examples including the Koa and different forms of training and attach techniques. These three aspects will come to be the backbone of Hawaiian culture.
American imperialism: the result of capitalism, business, and trade; the result of fear, competition with other countries, and the quest for furthering an economy—proven with the acquisition of Hawaii and the removal of its ruler, Queen Liliuokalani. Why and how did that happen, and in which ways did it impact the world? The United States removed Hawaii’s queen out of imperialism, an avarice for control of the rich natural resources, and the strategic military standpoint Hawaii provided them with. This changed Hawaii to a tourist base and sugarcane phenomenon, boosting the United States’s economy, but also caused a decline in the population of the Native Hawaiians. The possession of Hawaii also led to the United States’s involvement in World
The United State’s annexation of Hawaii in 1898 led to the gradual destruction of the Hawaiian culture and the almost-extinction of native-born Hawaiians. The majority of the Hawaiian natives opposed the annexation of Hawaii and wanted to maintain their sovereignty. Although the Japanese could have taken over the Hawaiian islands if the United States had not, the annexation of Hawaii by the U.S. was unjustified because of the treatment of the monarchy and natives, the infringement of the natives’ self-established culture and government, and the natives’ overwhelming opposition to the U.S’s involvement in Hawaii.
We went to many beaches. I thought the Pacific Ocean was going to be so special but it was just like the Atlantic Ocean back at home. The water was cold and there were stingrays everywhere! It was still worth going to the beaches and having a good time with my family and making many memories that will last a lifetime.
Hawaii Home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes, lies the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Stretching 1500 miles across the Pacific Ocean and twice the size of Mount St. Helens these islands are one of the youngest geological formations on the earth. These volcanoes are around 80 million years old and is where paradise meets darkness. Behind the stunning views and beautiful beaches, Hawaii has a storm of volcanoes erupting destroying everything in its path. Some may ask what causes this beautiful place to have such active volcanoes and my answer is complex yet simple.

It was that time of year again, Spring Break. I have never gone anywhere for Spring Break, so I was never expecting that to change. My family was not at all interested in going somewhere tropical, but I always was. Everything changed for me when my boyfriend asked me to tag along with his family and himself to Florida. Soon after I found out the news about going to Florida, I then began to think about how we were going to get there.
My family and I thought this vacation was going to be fun, annual, and relaxing, but it was actually an extra memorable, amazing, and a favorite vacation. We were in The Bahamas with my Mom,Dad,Sister,Grandma,Aunt, and Uncle. It was a cruise and the beginning was already amazing. My sister,Grandma and I all shared a room. When we went to lunch the first day we had all noticed this big, beautiful, colorful fish hanging from the ceiling.
It was a gorgeous sunny day. I woke up tired and remembered that yesterday my first grade teacher Mrs.Roderick, told us that our class was picking the play we were going to perform. I had a really nice breakfast, steaming eggs with toast. As I was racing to the bus my mom yelled, "Have a good day."
but I remember every detail of it. I had so much fun that it would be impossible to forget this wonderful vacation. My aunt surprised us at Christmas! She and the adults had all pitched in money to rent this gorgeous house that was right on the beach. It was the best surprise ever!
This week is going to be so much fun I thought to myself. Weeks had passed since my parents had said we would go to the beach and then finally today was the day. I felt so excited and thrilled for this upcoming event. Everyone was getting ready, going crazy, running up the stairs, taking stuff to the car, getting drinks, and using the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms before we left. Also, to get our toothbrushes, towels, lotion, shampoo, and toothpaste.
