Be a Better Decision Maker
It is no secret that being an adult is hard especially if you are a carefree, sloth human hybrid, but what become harder than being an adult is to think like an adult.In other words making decision and especially making the right and best possible decisions is one of the hardest skills to score. You heard it right! Decision making is a skill and the good news is it can be improved or enhanced.

The other way is to jot down pros and cons of the options. This helps in identifying the characteristics and possibilities each option constitutes of. This improved way of looking at options will lead to better conclusions and hence will make one's life easier.(How to Make Better Decisions)

Another hindrance in better decision making s one's aspirations with the future.People while making decisions tend to focus on how would they role out in the future and affect their situations in the future.Now this step might be important in some cases but then becomes a major burden in a lot of decision making processes. The key is to limit the focus on the present. What this means is to direct all the mental energy into achieving the goal present at hand.This can work both for long term and short term decision processes. In short term processes, it is crucial to not worry of what they will turn out in the future since it leads to unnecessary anxiety, and through this one makes their present lives better insuring happiness and peace of mind. There might be too many options to consider, or one might get too involved in a situation, which leads to the delaying the act of reaching a conclusion. Due to this, stress and anxiety keeps building up and often one wither makes a wrong decision or does not find a way out of this frustration. The most effective ways to fight this is to set a mental alarm.The best way is to impose a deadline on oneself. Anytime a decision has to be made. The key is to give yourself less amount of time to make a quick decision. This limited interval will help in quick assessment of the pros and cons of the situation and help in reaching the decision quickly as well.
