Most people prioritize on maintaining good health over curing. One of the treatments that they could practice is the Reiki treatment. Reiki (Ray-key) came from Japanese name which means universal life-force energy. It is a spiritual energy healing treatment which could treats many different ailments through hand positioning over the patient’s head, body, legs, feet’s and back (refer appendix for hand positioning steps). By practicing Reiki, patients will experience both of its preventive and curing functions. It also helps to promote healthier life and longevity. Two main branches of Reiki, commonly referred as Traditional Japanese Reiki and Western Reiki. There are several different theories about the origins of Reiki however for the westerners, it is vital to know that the founder and persons who played important role in the success of Reiki treatment are Dr. Mikao Usui, Dr. Hayashi and Mrs. Hawayo Takata from Japan.

So, Reiki treatment could help in attracting more medical and health tourists to Malaysia as a side treatment to help those cancer patients. Reiki also helps to relieve addictions and ease the physical withdrawals felt from chemical dependencies.
