Orson Scott Card’s book Ender's Game, is a famous science fiction novel that makes everyone question who they perceive to be a hero. In the novel, Card creates a character capable of mass murder while staying innocent throughout the entire story. Not taking the blame for any of his actions, Ender convinced himself that his actions were necessary. However, many readers began to have their own opinions and believed that Enders innocence was questionable and that he deserved prosecution. One of these critics happens to be John Kessel, author of the essay Creating the Innocent Killer, published in Foundation, the International Review of Science Fiction, in Spring 2004.
If your civil rights were taken away, would you fight to protect your rights or watch and let your civil rights drift away? Marcus, a main character in the book Little Brother, was near the bay bridge in San Francisco when it was blown up by terrorists. He was blamed for it by the DHS (Department of Homeland Security). Due to the bombing, the city was put under heavy watch by the DHS and everyone was treated as a potential terrorist, especially Marcus. Throughout the book, Marcus fought against the DHS for the rights to privacy of himself and the civilians of San Francisco.
I have chosen two moments to base my creative pieces on. The first moment, I have chosen is when Bruno assumes the prisoners of the concentration camp are farmers, in which his father responds by saying “They’re not people at all”. I chose to represent this by presenting the views on how Bruno and his father looked at the concentration camp. On the left hand side of sketch up, shows Bruno’s view of the concentration camp; as he believes it is a farm with ordinary people. But, beside that is the view of Bruno’s father, with the actual concentration camp and inside there is germs, to symbolize that Bruno’s father saw the Jews as pest that should be killed.

The coming of age novel, Jasper Jones was first published in 2009 by Craig Silvey, the play was then adapted by both; Craig Silvey and Kate Mulvany. It was first presented by Barking Gecko Theatre Company in Perth, Western Australia, on 17 July 2014. The plot of the play is centred on protagonist Charlie Bucktin, and various obstacles he must overcome as a consequence of aiding Jasper Jones in the concealment of Laura Wishart’s body, Bucktin’s former girlfriend. Jasper Jones is perceived as a trouble maker; perhaps a major contribution to his reputation is also the colour of his skin. The story takes place in the small mining town of Corrigan, in the midst of the Vietnam War, where prejudice towards those of colour created segregation between those within the community.

A Long Way Gone is an autobiography that shows his younger days and the transition of him turning into a child solider. In the story the military uses tactics to manipulate the boys such as anger, drugs, and fear to transform the boys into being child soldiers.
