Classic authors have been making unique stories that catch people 's attention for centuries and centuries. Mark Twain, O. Henry, and John Steinbeck each have their own style in their stories that are distinctive and personal to them. They use regional dialect, symbolism, and irony. That makes them each or their writing pieces special to them. Mark Twain 's stories show his style through "regional dialect.
Another aspect is that fighting amongst each gang is fostering a criminal environment. Throughout the book and when Mitchel turned his life around by contact of becoming friends with Elias Batrouney, I related with him, Mitchel. Despite having such important topics the book is band by many schools because of how freely sexuaity and rascim is written which it should not be. Sexulaity is something ever teen learns to deal with and racism is something every teen should be educated on. This book is a rollercoaster of human emotions and an excellent portrayal of “misfits” as they struggle to find their place in the turbulent high school world. The readers have greeted this premise with empathy and understanding. Charlie’s haunting letters, addressed only to “Dear Friend,” bring readers straight to the heart of his struggles to fit in, to find the will to “participate” in life, and to cope with the realities of the larger world as he learns how to grow up. ‘the perks of being a wallflower’ is a semi-autobiographical novel written by Stefen Chbosky and published in 1999.
In an interview, Chbosky explains that The Perks of Being a Wallflower will allow readers to relate with the issues and find a common ground with Charlie and his friends and the problems that they face in the book. Charlie, a teenager has suffered from many problems including clinical depression, bullying, being a victim of sexual abuse and the loss of loved ones. All these problems ‘introduced in the book’ affects Charlie’s psychological state which eventually made him unable to continue living his life as a teen his age supposed to be. Chbosky’s character development within the book will make the readers relate to every aspect in Charlie’s character and his journey from adolescence to adulthood. At the beginning of the story he was broken, friendless and troubled teen eventually developing to a better person achieving his inner peace by the help of the people around him.
Memoirs of a Boy Soldier ★★★★ I rated this book 4 stars because I really enjoyed reading this book and learning about what goes on with the children(mainly boys) out in Sierra Leone. It was interesting knowing that these are the kind of things that happen in the third-world countries and the children are forced to live through it. 2. The article mainly is about Malcolm who went to prison in the Charlestown prison for burglary there he knew how to use time and tired of not being understood by others who read his letters he began using a dictionary to study and learn some words , putting a lot of effort reading back to himself to have a better understanding of new words that he don’t even knew exist each day he wrote a new word of the dictionary his goal was to learn how the read using the dictionary as his best tool . Time passed quickly practicing over and over writing every words of each section of the dictionary helped him improve his reading and handwriting speed .From this article I learned that even being imprisoned Malcolm he had a great experience there
Throughout the novel A Separate Peace by John Knowles, there are many important things portrayed that coincide with the fact that the book is a wonderful literary piece and should be read by many students. This will show us that we should treat our prisoners better at times. We can very cruel to prisoners. This trip matters for high school students, because they will get to see how the prison system works. The trip will take us to see each invidual prison. The prison trips will teach high school students about the prison system by showing what Sing Sing, Eastern State, and Alacatraz prison has to offer.
