Imagine if a character from your book appeared in front of your eyes. They acted just like you in every way. What would you do if this happened? A book named “Squashed” has many characters that represent many different traits. Mostly some sad and happy traits are used in this book.
Abandoning one’s family could be devastating for some people, but for Mattia Pascal, it was a dream. In The Late Mattia Pascal, the main character, Mattia had lost everything from family to family fortunes multiple times. He went from having a large inheritance from his parent’s passing, to losing it all. He was the father of two daughters that passed away within seconds of each other, which occured on the same day as his mother’s passing. After this, Mattia’s remarries and finds that he is miserable in his new life because of his living environment with his wife and demanding mother in law.
The author who wrote Under the Eye of the Clock is talking about a boy with a disability. Joseph has always struggled with everything he had to do! He knows that if he keeps trying, anything he does he will succeed. In this story the author suggest that "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard". This quote reminds of me Joseph.
Emma Marris uses many types of persuasive elements in her essay “Emma Marris: In Defense of Everglade Pythons”. In her writing she persuades her readers that the pythons should be allowed to be in the everglades since it is not their fault that they are there in the first place. She uses metaphors to relate to the reader and word choice to enhance her writing.
Mitch says this during the section named the student. It is important because Mitch finally realizes after his favorite uncle’s death that at some point, life does end. After realizing that Mitch seeks to get his life together and move on with his life. This was a really important event in Mitch’s life because it reminds him to take advantage of each opportunity and to foster good relationships with those around him. He also realizes how he has transformed from an honest, hopeful young man into a money-selfish professional who has abandoned friendship and love and his dreams in exchange for financial security.

This quote is the most imperative on the grounds that it is the premise of the conflict resulting all throughout society. The fight is against customary people not influenced by Haden 's disorder believing that individuals encountering "lock in" and have a robot body also called a "threep" is superior to in complete "lock in" and really even helpful. Yet, all things considered that the individuals not influenced are some what superior to any threeps and even integrators. Versus the individuals influenced by the illness who need to seek after the exploration for a cure to disease. This quote is from Chris Shane himself when somebody offended him about being a threep.
Ursula Le Guin defines Omelas as a utopia where the citizens’ lives are never wretched. Le Guin captures her readers’ attention by describing the city’s beauty with the colorful scenery, events featuring games and horse riding, and the everlasting happiness. She does a great job of leading her readers into thinking this could be the perfect society, but leaves us with the question of satisfaction. According to Le Guin, “happiness is based on a just discrimination of what is necessary, what is neither necessary nor destructive, and what is destructive” (p. 2). This quote means that there must be a balance for the society to succeed.
In the short story “Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka , Mr.Kafka purpose was to show that even when Grete took care of him and loved him at first that grew into hatred toward him, closest people to you can turn and be against you. At first Grete took care of Gregor and sees him as his brother and not a life size bug. But later on throughout the passage Grete does not care about Gregor anymore and starts to change her behavior, also she starts reforming as “It” and not her brother. “We must try to get rid of it,’ the sister now said decisively to the father, for the mother, in her coughing fit, wasn’t listening to anything, ‘it is killing you both” (Kafka pg 85). I chose this quote because it sums Iris Murdoch into one little sentence. I used this quote mainly because it is how amazing one sentence can say so much but also say so little about a person. This would be a great sentence for any normal writer, bur Murdoch’s life was so eventful that it could never be simply summed up in a sorry sentence like that. When I read this line from Iris Murdoch’s literary work the first thing I thought was, wow this sounds like another author I previously read and did a Quote and Commentary. I cannot put a finger on this other writers name, I can recall that he talked about religion like it was just a master idea to control people.
This quote is very inspiring. This was just one example of how Morrie put everyone else before himself. Morrie is on death’s doorstep but, he manages somehow to care about the feelings and lives of others more than his last months. This teaches me that a lot of things can make people feel good.
