SC, Jennifer Stoker contacted provider, Latonia Jennings via telephone. SC introduced herself and told provider that she was Barry’s SC. SC asked how Barry is doing towards his outcome of wanting his health monitor. Latonia noted the nurse is monitoring his health. There has been no issue and he staff monitor his health daily to insure he remains health.
MSTT met with Lemuel to further review the discharge plan and examine how he feels about the discharge. Lemuel stated he wish there was more time but stated he 's ready to take on his responsiblities. Lemuel explained he 's ready to start working and completing his GED program. MSTT and Lemuel then went out into the community to continue the discuss at a local resturant. MSTT encourage Lemuel to continue on the positive path he 's on and to stay motivatied.

UCM:CPSW did a home visit and met with foster parent (Dorothy Bensalih), Emeri and Cantarah. Cantarah was playing with her IPad and Emeri. CPSW talked with Contrarah briefly and asked about school and any other concerns. Cantarah reported that she is doing well and excited about her new Ipad and plays with it after school. Emeri was sitting and playing with his sister during the meeting.
People see Andy as a gang member instead of individual which means you 're just judging him die to him wearing the jacket. The last energy he had he decided to take off the silk jacket because he wanted to be identified as an individual and not simply as a gang member. For that reason the cop thought he was only a gang member which was a misunderstanding what you wear doesn 't identify you so all the visitors just did was judge.

Once their rights are read you must then inform them of why they were brought in and what steps will be taken.

The word gang may make individuals quiver, as gangs are associated with gruesome criminal activities. Formation of gangs and gang violence is a global crisis. Some of the most notorious gangs are located in; Europe, Asia and Africa. However, the majority is located in the Americas, namely; Bloods, Crips, Aryan Brotherhood, and Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), (Rodriguez, 2005). It is said that the rise of gangs in American came after the end of the American Revolution (Howell & Moore, 2010).
Victor M. Rios was born in Mexico. When he was two years old he immigrated with his mother to Oakland, California. He went through a tough childhood and he and his mother moved several times throughout poor neighborhoods such as West Oakland, The Fruitvale District, and Elmhurst. As a result of growing up in this kind of environments he was forced to be part of Latino East Oakland gangs. Stealing cars, selling drugs, getting into street fights and having problems with police was all he would do until he was 15 years old.
Prison gangs have been and are a growing problem. Prison organizations throughout the United States have tried many different strategies to address the issue of prison gang members. One of the problems is that gang members are more of a threat to the staff and other inmates than regular inmates who are not in a gang. The prisons have problems begin able to house certain serious offenders that need to be kept separate because of the limited spacing. Gangs in the prison have a higher disruption and incident rate then non gang members.

Walter Miller states that deviant subcultures don’t arise from the inability of a community to achieve success, but because of a lower-class subculture whose values and norms are different from the rest of society. Subcultures can be a good thing, because they can provide a sense of belonging, interaction with people who have similar interests, and gives members the freedom to express individuality.
