Introduction
Attention Getter: I realize that this is not what you would want to see from someone who’s supposed to explain to you how to make a slideshow look good.
Give Specific Purpose: However, as this presentation goes on, I’ll be fixing this so I can give some ideas on how you can make one that’s more creative and visually appealing.
Forecast Main Steps/Points: I’m going to come up with a good design theme, and then use appropriate color schemes and fonts that suit that theme. By using other pieces of graphic design for creative ideas, I’ll use the tools embedded in Google Slides’ software to modify text and images and make two slide designs of my own.

It’s usually better to make your slides after you’ve finished writing your presentation, so that you already know which ideas to highlight and which designs and images will be most suitable for your talk.
Making Your Own Theme
Google Slides has plenty of default design templates available, but with this demonstration, I’ll be making my own.
Your presentation probably has its own tone; your topic and the words you chose to explain it have some sort of “mood” attached to it. For example, is it more professional or casual? Questions like these can help you in choosing what colors and fonts you’ll use.
I want a casual, simple, cheerful theme. I think this online color scheme fits those descriptions.
Some people are just naturally more creative than others. If you believe you’re not the type to come up with a creative, eye-catching design off the bat, neither am I - which is why I like to steal design ideas from Google images. Of course, you can’t actually steal designs, but you can gain inspiration from other slideshows, and combine different elements to make it your
The last stages of our product still required us to select the top twenty-four pictures (or less) that best represented our narrative. Next, we had to edit these pictures, adjusting their brightness, value, saturation, warmth, tint, etc. to allow our photos to better fit together as a unit. We also chose to edit pictures in a way that may show the mood of the story. We slightly increased the warmth, and value of the images to create a lighter, and happier feeling throughout the narrative. Adding music, to our product also allowed us to develop the mood.
The second tool that I found that could be useful is the template options available in Powerpoint. There are a multitude of various templates that I could use, which are already pre-loaded with graphics and pictures that will make my presentation more visually appealing.
I have always loved this community, and for some reason, I cannot put my finger on it as to why. However, this new theme you have just makes it so much better. Here 's the thing, I dislike dark themes. However, the way you have everything layed out and how the colors just complement each-other, I am loving what I am seeing. The first thing I notice is the background of the header along with the very professional looking logo, very well done!
Pausch received at the end of his lecture, it would be fair to conclude that it had a great impact on his audience. This lecture portrays how the effective use of basic presentation techniques can create a spellbinding effect on an audience. Dr. Pausch’s lecture gave me a new perspective on life and my career goals. One of his quotes that stood out for me was: “Wait long enough and people will surprise you”. I completely agree with this based on the experiences that I have had as a student at Michigan Tech.
Some of you in here babysit younger siblings or other small children. After you have them play outside and they are hot and sweaty, it feels good to bring them back in the house and cool them off with a big glass of Kool-Aid. After they have their Kool-Aid and are cooled off, you really don’t want to go bring them back outside where it is hot, so you decide to play with play dough. But you don’t have any playdough in the house.
Our presentation topic was about the 2017 Las Vegas Shooting. My group members are Michaela Finneyfrock, Riya Patel, Bridget Cichon, Jack Zigler, and Mason Parker-Loan. This event had occurred on October 1st at 10:05 PM, where a man named Stephen Paddock had fired many bullets at a concert from the window of his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. About 58 people were killed and 546 people were injured. He had also killed himself.
Eleonora Hasani Comm 145 Online “Just Bag it” Speech Self-Evaluation 1. I gained my audience’s attention through an ironic joke. By asking my audience if they hated when people answered their own questions, and then proceeded to answer my own question saying I hated it, I got them interested in what else I had to say. 2. I feel like I introduced by topic clearly by stating in my introduction paragraph that I wanted to give the audience a “glimpse of my life” and then followed it with my thesis that included the three items I was going to talk about. 3.
You could improve your PowerPoint slides by using light backgrounds to highlight dark pictures rather than using dark purple background. Also, your speech would have been more effective if you could use large images on each slide.
The world’s happiest place, a place where everyone and the kids want and need to go to, the place where families spend that valuable time together. #Going to Disney World is like unwrapping gifts on Christmas with family, friends, and loved ones. It’s a great feeling being able to go and experience that. There’s plenty of rides, games, sites to see, and walking at Disney. * It’s every little kid’s dream to go to Disney World and meet the one and only Mickey Mouse.
3.Choose one aspect of your presentation and tell me how you will work to improve it for your next presentation. Be concrete. Offer suggestions that you will use for improvement. I always get anxious before giving any speech or presentation. I may not maintain eye contact with the audience to cop up with my anxiety.

We, as a species have a hard time admitting when we are wrong. How do you live with something that has no cure? As students, presentations are something that is required in most classes yet, students do not see themselves as public speakers. Throughout high school and now in college, I have had to present material in 80 percent of the classes that I have taken. Presenting was, and still is something that I struggle with no matter how big or how small the group is that I am presenting to. I knew that Public Speaking was a required class for me so, rather than putting it off, I decided to go ahead and get it out of the was as soon as possible. Speaking in front of people is out of my comfort zone.
