As a young student, I would often see many college students deeply focused on their work. Seeing them motivated me to learn more and concentrate on the two most important things in life, learning and helping others. I was always interested in learning about Cyber Security and protecting personal data against hackers trying to attack the network. I want to continue my studies through graduate level education in computers. I strongly feel like the Early College Program will help me achieve my goals.
Why do you wish to attend XYZ University? How do you expect it to benefit your future? I wish to attend Guilford Technical Community College because I think it would benefit my future. Attending GTCC would benefit my future because community college is normally a lot more inexpensive than a traditional four-year university. Getting credits at a community college then transferring to a four-year university could possibly save me fairly a lot of money.
Following the dual advice from Gallup-Perdue and Jacotot, students would be encouraged to learn by themselves via a long-term project or extracurricular activities. To further encourage such learning, students would be given credit for their work as “independent research.” Furthermore, UNF must establish a liaison with local employers; students would be required to take a minimum number of hours employed in an internship during their third year. Internships, like projects and extracurricular activities, would allow students to apply what they had learned at college.
I knew I had to go to Wellesley when I first read the mission statement. My father placed it nonchalantly on the edge of my desk. It was fall, and because I believed I already knew where I wanted to attend college, I moved it aside. When I finally read the statement, I cried. Everything I talked about, all summer long, was contained between two brightly blue quotation marks: “To provide an excellent liberal arts education to women who will make a difference in the world.”
Growing up children have think they know what they want to be when they grow up but as they progress and get older they’re ideal career changes for the most part based on the changes they go threw themselves and experiences. As a future educator, I indubitably believe Honors College will provide a vast variation of opportunities when it comes to achieving my career goals. I will be able to ameliorate educationally, culturally, and also on a personal level. My career goals involve teaching students in a college setting. Growing up, I was convinced that I would have my own classroom one day and I am currently on my way of making my dreams come true. My ultimate goal is to empower students to learn and to embrace the power of knowledge.
College after high school sounds like a great conception to many, but some might not think so. Going to college after high school is a great option. It can set you on the right path to success, and it can lead you to more prosperity in the future. Graduating from college can additionally lead to many benefits, such as job security, higher income, and job satisfaction. Having higher education can also lead to more knowledge, which is great because knowledge is power.
Pursuing college after high school is something that I want to do. Going to college is a different experience for everyone and I want mine to be special. An HBCU will make my college experience something I will never forget. College tour will expose me to a few of the HBCU that interest me. I am a strong-minded, hardworking student.
Going to College I think college will be stricter than high school. Stressful, more responsibility, the lifestyle is different. Theme I think money is big dill because if you do something to get in trouble and take you out four a whole year.
During adolescent years, the average child fantasizes over what career they’ll occupy for the rest of their working lives. Whether it be a fireman, lawyer, doctor, possibly the next president of the United States. This envisioning almost never ends how that young child thought it would, reality comes into play. The aspects such as: money, supply and demand and education all narrow the possible choice careers for that maturing child. It no longer becomes about what they want to do, but about what is necessary of them.
If I am not accepted to medical school during this cycle, I will reapply as this is my first application to medical school. If I am ultimately not accepted in either cycle, I will probably go into a career in medical research and obtain my Ph.D. in an area of medical research. Through research, I have the opportunity to impact more people than I would have in clinical practice alone. Thus far, I only have experience in bench research, and while I enjoy bench research , I may ultimately try to become more involved in clinical or translation medical research if this is the career path I pursue.
I also tell myself I wish I could be able to think of new ideas that would interest people. This goal applies to one of my assessment results which is achiever, by allowing myself in each year to accomplish a goal and by doing that it would encourage me for to realize how important the long term main goal is to me. An obstacle that could interfere with my career goal would be the competition among others for the management position. The solutions I would suggest for the management position
When I decided to come back to school after being in the military for the number of years I spent in the service it was very profound. After researching schools online, I found that American Public University System was one of the best choices I made in my educational career goal. I can honestly say that this experience has been great and I will not want to change anything about it. At first it was kind of difficult of me trying to get things together when it came to wanting to make sure I stay on top of things. One thing I learn that time management has been the successful key for me as a student here APU.
Being halfway through my first semester of college it seems like graduation is so far away, but it is actually closer than anyone thinks. From the second you enter college everyone asks you what you want to do with your degree after you graduate. Trying to figure out what to do after college is always a difficult decision, whether it be to head out into the work force or continue on with our education. As of right now I am stuck on both ideas. I believe I would be happy going out into the workforce and starting my chemistry degree in a lab doing research, but I also think it would be fun to continue my education and go higher with my degree.
The Self-Directed Search (SDS) is a career interest test that asks questions about your aspirations, activities, skills, and interests in different jobs. This test is based on a career theory developed by John L. Holland (1997). Career theories can help individuals to identify the important things to consider in making a career decision. Also, theories about career choice and development try to predict some future events, such as satisfaction/dissatisfaction in a specific kind of work or development and things that one should be thinking about at a later life stage.
