Imagine having an animal that can weigh up to 200 pounds, grow up to 23 feet and isn’t even native to America and is still harming one of Florida’s ecosystem. This is what the Burmese Python (native to South Asia) is doing to the Everglade’s ecosystem. This animal is being bought by irresponsible pet owners and when they get to large they’re being released into the everglades which is harming that environment critically. The Burmese Python will devour anything in its way it does not have any predators. The Everglades is just like the snakes natural habitat South Asia with a warm climate it didn’t take a long time for the Burmese Python to get used to their new home.

Many of these pythons were originally pets turned loose by their owners due to their size and strength. Because of this, there are tens of thousands of these snakes estimated to be living in the Everglades, where they are living in a warm, humid climate and wreaking havoc on the ecosystems.

The reason that the Burmese pythons has a big population in the Everglades instead of Southeast Asia is that we de human have been buying them because of their beautiful pattern and dumping them in the Everglades when they grew up to their actual size, also they are staying in the Everglades because of the climate which is humid, snakes like humid climates due that they are coldblooded.
Burmese Pythons are a species of snakes that originate from Southeast Asia. They are an invasive species, and invade in places such as the Florida Everglades. Many people had them as pets, but when they became too big for homeowners they decided to set them free into the Everglades. As snakes can eat many large and small animals, they have enough to food to survive. But as they are not native to the Florida Everglades they then have no natural predators, so they reproduce, and each egg has about 10 snakes in them, so you can see why that may be a problem.

The bones were turned over to scientists, who discovered that the large bones were part of the skeletons of over 40 marine animals. These creatures want to be able to live out of harm’s way. One area that seems to be protective of these intelligent reptiles is known as The Florida Everglades.
What specifically brings me to Appalachian State University. I have been living in Raleigh North Carolina for 16 years. I would like to explore more of the state of North Carolina have not had much of an opportunity to visit the area a lot in my lifetime, but it would be nice to see and get to know the region. I believe that Appalachian State University will help me further my career goals because I want to be an educator. Flashback to Florida; let’s take a closer look at the Everglades. The invasive (not original to a specific environment) pythons and anacondas mentioned earlier are a huge problem—literally. These reptiles can reach lengths of up to 20 feet, which is longer than three adult men lying head-to-toe. At such a size, they have few natural predators, so their numbers grow with little to keep them under control. The snakes compete with alligators for food, even making a meal of a gator once in a while.

Modern day homes are not equipped with backyard jungles for Bengal tigers, or large amounts of spaces with objects for chimpanzees to climb on. It is nearly impossible for exotic pet owners to imitate the natural homes of these animals, which is what they require to ensure the animal lives a comfortable life. What most fail to realize is that these animals will not be able to adapt from a South American jungle, or African plain to a caged in backyard with a completely foreign ecosystem and lifestyle than these animals are meant to belong in. Finding veterinary care for exotic animals is a difficult task, let alone being able to meet the dietary needs of large, carnivorous animals or massive mammals.
I pulled back and had the fish hooked. I knew it had to be a big fish because it was hard to reel in. After about 25 or 30 minutes the fish was almost at the doc.
