Every now and then, a national anthem will be about a hero or a battle of freedom; however, the majority of national anthems speak of past events in their country (Georgiady and Romano 5). Americans needed a sign of hope and strength during the fight against Britain and Francis Scott Key accepted the challenge of creating that assurance. The Cowpens flag or referred as the 3rd Maryland Regiment was another very famous and important flag to our country. According to some articles, there is a doubt that the 3rd Maryland Regiment was not carried during the Cowpens Battle. The first sign of the Cowpens flag appeared in 1777 according to some experts. According to Cowpens Flag, the Cowpens flag was actually toted by William Batchelor in South Carolina on January 17, 1781 at the Battle of Cowpens. The name Cowpens came from the Battle of Cowpens.
There were a number of both positive and negative changes at the time John Marshall lived. Born in 1755 in Germantown, John Marshall’s was greatly influenced by a series of events. One significant influence on his later life as a Supreme Court judge was the time he spent as a Revolutionary soldier. As a soldier, Marshall highly admired General George Washington and witnessed some of the greatest changes in American history. Some of the positive changes include the making of the Constitution of the United States.
For instance, Washington is represented in a strikingly idealized pose. Additionally, one can see in the upper left hand corner the morning star which lends the painting a Christian significance since this star guided the three wise men to Jesus. He decided to switch his general to general Meade and they all began to prepare for battle.

The story of Rip Van Winkle, a tale written by Washington Irving, can be considered the first form of American fiction. The author chose this genre as an attempt to attract the reader, presenting an important historic event— the American Revolution— in a way that would be both realistic and didactic to the average American reader. This tale, as told by the author in the introduction, appears to have been found among the belongings of a Dutch historian, Diedrich Knickerbocker. Due to the lack of books during his time, this historian had frequently resorted to men for his research, and in particular to their wives, for he considered them to be "rich in that legendary lore, so invaluable to true history" (29).

It is the second novel in Cooper 's, so called "Leather stocking Tales" series and it has become a real American Classic. During the nineteenth century it was fashionable to create historically inspired stories; hence, the novel is a great example of the historical developments during 1754-1763. The novel characterizes one of the greatest wars in history of occupation of America called French and Indian war or Seven Years’ War (1756-1763).

This was said in the middle of the Civil War. The fight of freedom. The Civil War was fought from 1861 through 1865.

Robert E Lee’s life before the war shaped him for military greatness. Robert E Lee was born in Stratford Hall Virginia on January 19, 1807 to Revolutionary war hero Henry Light-Horse Harry Lee (Civil War trust). It was thought that he had military honor in his future. His family had some financial issues, this caused his father to get sent to the West Indies. Robert got into the United States Military Academy at West Point.
They were ready to start a new battle. The Battle of Trenton had many different causes, leaders, events and effects that impacted the Revolutionary War drastically. Several events had lead up to this battle they were in fact causes of the battle. Since the Battle of Bunker Hill British strategy has been to attack. With about 1,500 Hessian Troops at Trenton they were asking for trouble.
