Even in the face of inevitability, you can gain strength through the support and encouragement of others; instead of feeling guilty and regretting your decisions, you can leave these arduous experiences as a stronger, more empathetic and resilient person. In a sense, as you create new bonds and strengthen them through every experience you share, your own character also becomes more tenacious and prepared for difficult trials
Lastly, I learned about negative filters. Negative filters are damaging attitudes or people that prevent me from achieving my goal. I hadn’t put much thought into it before I read the book. I have trouble identifying what is detrimental to me. Sometimes it can be my judgement about myself or people in my life.
I thought it was stupid having to read aloud, practicing on how I say certain words, having to start a sentence over until I didn’t stutter, re-reading the same page over and over until it didn’t me the longest time just to finish one page. But practicing every day, took a lot of patience for me and my mother, and it was all worth it, I don’t have trouble reading, it doesn’t take me long to read anymore, it easy to pronounce and spell words. Working out the issues I had with reading helped make it easier, and made me love to read ever since

However, it does feel it is clear to me. Not everything is people's fault in some cases it is yours. I learn it the hard way since I like making new friends to get to know them better and a standard standing where you will not be hated in anyways. After this chapter it is clear to me I can change the way I act, so I will be appreciated. It is just to hard for me to change how I act since I am adapted to the way I am.
This is a good step because they are creating a dialog between the traumatized self and the survivor self. Also you are instructed to reward your self though out the book as you complete each task. Because this is like a workbook that’s ask you to look at a very dark time in your life you are asked to check in at the end of each chapter. Just give see your progress and an act of self- affirmation.
I must admit this took a lot of work, however through time and practice it has become easier for me to communicate my emotions to my coworker and supervisor. Sometimes I noticed my kindness would be overly used. But implementing these strategies have helped me with solving this problem. In regards to judgment versus choice, being able to make risky decision and weighing my sanity versus judgment can result in isolation (Weber & Johnson, 2009).
I too, find myself loving the act of texting far too much. I have had some similar experiences when it comes to others giving my personal information through text, when I would have much rather heard it in person. Some of the experiences like that I feel we are losing, because they have been replaces with texting. That is why I feel our connection with one another is being tampered with in a negative way. This is the new norm though, and it would be hard to change.
Even though it can be stressful to have to tell someone that their work isn 't correct, it can still be very beneficial to that person. After the first peer review I became more accepting to the idea of letting someone tell me what was wrong with my paper. I think it’s a great way to get another persons view on your paper. Along with peer reviews are revisions plans and they too can be beneficial because that gives the writer the opportunity to see their mistakes and correct them. On all my assignments I have used these tools and I have also visited the writing center on one of my assignments, which was very helpful.
Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness. Various characteristics are needed to be resilient. In the book, Trouble by Gary D. Schmidt, Henry loses his brother, Franklin. But, Henry is able to stay in control of the things going on in his life. He has a plan of what he wants to do; climb Katahdin.
