Natural disaster usually happens suddenly. For example: earthquake happens suddenly when rock underground suddenly breaks along a fault. This sudden release of energy causes the seismic waves that make the ground shake. When two plates of rock are rubbing against each other, they will shake.
There are many types of natural disasters, such as: volcanic eruption, tsunami, earthquake, hurricane, tornados, flooding, landslide, avalanches, drought, wildfire and many more. Most of the natural disaster have

Clarissa Harlowe Barton, although she preferred to go by Clara. was born on December 25, 1821, in Oxford, Massachusetts. She was a nurse during the Civil War and when she traveled to Europe she worked with a relief organization called the International Red Cross and wanted to bring the same type of organization to America. Barton lived a life of service to others and had a strong heart and passion for providing relief to those in need. I chose her because her life serves as a model to my own; I strive to live a life of caring for others. Clara Barton founded the American Red Cross at the age of 60 in 1881.
INTRODUCTION Catastrophes affect humanity all the time but two of the most memorable in history are Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Harvey. Hurricanes are first seen from the satellite. This means that the hurricanes are spotted right away, it gets predicted where its going to impact first and how strong it can be when it hits the ground. These hurricanes are extremely dangerous because of its high-speed winds it comes with and the amount of rain produced by them, this makes it worst because they can last for days.
Incident command system refers to a comprehensive system that is developed to help responders to form an intricate system that meets the demands of a single or multiple incidents (Carmicheal, 2010). The goal is to avoid confusion and increase efficiency in handling all the activities within the shortest time possible. The current scenario is characterized by a severe natural disaster that has hit the community of Edenton. Extensive damages are being reported from the multiple points in the city, which means the responders should form a team that can handle each point.
Before the First World War, the Red Cross introduced its “first aid, water safety, and public health nursing programs” (Who is Clara Barton, 2008) In regards to natural disasters, they provided relief for the Great Depression during the 1930s and also the during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 which was the largest Red Cross Response in it’s history. Here they provided millions of people with food, shelter, and money to get back on their feet, emotional support, etc. Their first congressional charter was received in 1900 and the second in 1905. Then their third was adopted in May 2007 which “restates the traditional purposes of the organization” which includes being a form of communication between those in the American armed forces and their families as well as providing an international and national disaster relief and mitigation (Who is Clara Barton, 2008).
Natural disasters like floods, in mountains floods can result in heavy rain or sudden snow melts. Fires, can be started by lightning, human carelessness, or arson, and can spread very rapidly. Winter storms; you need to pay attention to weather forecasts in your area and stay at home if possible until roads are clear, downed electrical wires are cleared, and services restore. Hurricanes and tornadoes, West Virginia is not a typical hurricane or a tornado path, however, very high wind sometimes with heavy rain, can create emergency conditions. As said in
A tsunami destroys an entire town in Florida, leaving citizens stranded on the streets without homes and unaware if their family members are dead or alive. This is where disaster relief psychologists or crises counselors step in. They try to make this process easier for people who are struggling by helping families rebuild while offering psychological guidance. They are caring individuals who have a gift for helping people in their lowest moments. Crisis counselors face many problems in the job field, including preparing for a humanitarian aid and fulfilling the job requirements.
that zone is more subject to seismic disasters. Tectonic, volcanic, collapse and explosion, are the four different types of earthquakes. A tectonic earthquake is one that occurs when the earth 's crust breaks due to geological forces on rocks and adjoining plates that cause physical and chemical changes. A volcanic earthquake is when a volcano erupts and shakes the plates.
FOREIGN AID It is an economic instrument used by the states to promote their national as well as international interests. It is not a new instrument because it has been using by the states from the earlier times.
