Dan Ariel discusses how people own decision can be influenced by others. For example, he uses the organ donor example to show how some countries in Europe had far better organ donors than other countries in Europe. His argument is based on the fact of how different the two forms were written for getting participants being part of the organ donor program. European countries that have high rate participants of the organ donor program has a written form that mentions to “To check the box below if you don’t want to participate in the organ donor program” So many people don’t check that box various for reasons.

Politicians call for missile defense projects. Many defense projects have failed and cost not only the government but taxpayers over 50 billion dollars. Lee Fang, a writer for The Intercept, shows how ineffective these programs have been in the past. The persuasiveness of Lee's argument in his article “Politicians Use North Korea H-Bomb Fears to Pitch Wasteful Missile Defense Projects” is based on a logical approach using facts, (logos), an emotion approach trying to rally us up (pathos), and on his credibility and the creditability of his sources (ethos). Lee's appeal to our logical (logos) side is based on facts.
For my final project of the semester, Project 4, I decided to revise my rhetorical analysis of project 2. I took your comments and feedback very solemnly, to avail further my inditement. I understood the feedback consummately, and optically discerned precisely what I needed to do. The main thing I wanted to fixate on was understanding that the paper was filled with many conceptions, and constructing it down to precise conceptions, and expounding them exhaustively. I abstracted some conceptions that I believe that weren’t apart of the process of explicating the argument or how it works.
This article is talking about human trafficking in Cambodia and Myanmar centered in south East Asia off the boarder of Thailand. It broadens the horizon for human trafficking in the aspects that it is not only sex trafficking that is occurring, but also labor trafficking and trafficking of human beings for body parts. It was not until Rickard’s efforts that the middle to upper class indulged themselves in the world of boxing, as boxing became legalized in some states due to a shift in public opinion. Rickard supported Jack Dempsey, and used a powerful gimmick to promote his fights. Dempsey had avoided military service, so Rickard exploited this fact by picking opponents who were decorated military officers or men of other races. Pitting fighters of opposite personalities or different races is a rational fight promotion tactic that is still heavily used in modern times. Connor McGregor’s brash, exuberant style of “trash talk” compared to Nate Diaz’s blunt, composed demeanor created so much buzz around their second fight that it was considered the modern day “Ali vs. Ferguson”.
On every college campus women are being sexually assaulted, and hardly ever is anyone reporting, not even the victim. The image of the five symbols of women in a row with the statement, "One in Five Women will be a victim of sexual assault during her college years" (rampage), underneath uses rhetorical devices like ethos, logos, and pathos to influence the reader and bring awareness to sexual assault in college women. Lastly, Alfred is very happy with his life even after his boxing career fails. On the other hand, Midge Kelly, the main character in the film "Champion," is the polar opposite of Alfred. Midge loses his friends, family, and supporters.

Past leaders such as Andrew Jackson, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Marc Antony are evidence that society does not reward morality and good character in leadership. Society is drawn to leaders that have good rhetoric, propaganda, and charismatic personalities, and society supports them despite their immorality. Society is concerned about stability more than the morality of their leaders and will support immoral leaders in times of crisis to provide stability. In history there have been multiple leaders that have used rhetoric, propaganda and charismatic personalities to gain power, despite their morals.
When arguing for racial equality, James Farmer Jr. quotes St.Augustine, “An unjust law is no law at all.” He claims that just laws are meant to protect all citizens; whereas, unjust laws that discriminate Negroes are not laws to be followed, thus raising awareness of racial discrimination by using emotional and logical appeals. In The Great Debaters, Henry Lowe appeals to the audience’s emotions during a debate about Negro integration into state universities. To challenge his opponent’s claim that the South isn 't ready to integrate Negroes into universities, he affirms that if change wasn’t forcefully brought upon the South, Negroes would “still be in chains,” which is an allusion to slavery. With this point, he is able to raise awareness of
emotional appeal by going back in history telling everyone that this is not the first time astronauts died in space mission, this comforts the public about risks astronauts take to do their job, this may not appeal for those who were skeptical about the program at the beginning, rather it is to gain more support for NASA. He used “courage’ and “brilliant” those words were carefully chosen to evoke patriotism as well as persuade broader audience. Finely closes his Pathos by naming the astronauts one by one. Naming them individually he’s trying connect with each family personally.
