Roger Sherman(April 19, 1721 - July 23, 1793)
Roger Sherman was a lawyer and a founding father of the United States. He was also the first mayor of a city in Connecticut called New Haven. But Connecticut was not his actual home town, he was born in Newton, Massachusetts. Then later on in his life he moved to Connecticut. He was a great person and was the only person to sign four great papers of the U.S., Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, and the Continental Association. His parents were William and Mehetabel Sherman, and they had seven kids. Roger himself married twice which gave him fifteen children, but only thirteen made it to adulthood. His first wife was Elizabeth Hartwell and his second was Rebecca Prescott. Sherman died in his sleep becaus eof sickness he had for about two months. One of the things he did that everyone may know is that he was an author, and he drafted the Declaration of Independence. He was actually asked to write the Declaration of Independence, but he refused. Thomas Jefferson ended up writing it because he was a great writer. Benjamin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on a street called Milk Street. His father was Josiah Franklin and his mother was Abiah Folger. At age seven-teen Benjamin proposed to a fifteen year old by the name of Deborah Read. Like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin was a great author and he did very well as an author. In his great life he will probably always be remembered as being on the one hundred dollar bill. He died on April 17, 1790 in his home from a sickness called Pleurisy. Franklin was elected to the second Continental Congress in 1775. He was the postmaster general for the colonies. He has 16 brother and sister. He made electricity with a kite and a key. Franklin son was a loyalist while he was a patriot.
They did not destroy any houses or towns, they took food, livestock and burned houses of people who fought back. When Sherman marched to Savannah at the end of 1864, he believed that this march would speed the end of the war, and he wanted to break the South’s will to fight. If this
William T. Sherman William Tecumseh Sherman was born in Ohio in 1820. He was named after Shawnee Chief Tecumseh. After graduating school William served in South Carolina and Georgia during the Mexican War. He later resigned from the army but then became superintendent of the military academy. Sherman joined the Union army during the Civil War.
Despite having lived a short life, Robert Peace was very well known, even as a child. Robert Peace was a man who was very much loved by the people in his community. He was always known as the “nerd” and the smart kid of the class since he was just three years old. “It’s because he’s so smart and knows everything.” (Hobbs 17)

He was the fifteenth child of Josiah and one of ten by Abiah(Franklin Born). His father wanted him to be a clergy but could not afford to send him to school for that many years.
Benjamin Franklin is known to be an “Archetypal American,” because of his beliefs on religion, self-improvement, hard work, and determination; but also his somewhat prideful spirit. Much of modern America is quite similar to Franklin in his actions throughout his lifetime. In his early years, Franklin’s father, Josiah, had a set plan for what he was supposed to do with his life, as a minister. Soon into his education, he found an interest in reading and writing, so he began pursuing a career in printing.
Benjamin Franklin was a scientist, politician, and he invents a bunch of cool things. Benjamin Franklin did not attend school until the age of ten. It took his father two years to pay for his son’s education. Franklin’s family household was large and he is the youngest out of his seventeen siblings. Benjamin Franklin grew up with an unfortunate lifestyle; in the fall of 1723, he went travelled to Philadelphia the city of Pennsylvania with a lack of budget and without support from anyone not even his close family.

Born in 1706 as the eighth of 17 children to a Massachusetts soap and candlestick maker, the chances Benjamin Franklin would go on to become a gentleman, scholar, scientist, statesman, musician, author, publisher and all-around general genius were astronomically low, yet he did just that. Franklin wrote in the Age of Enlightenment, an intellectual revolution in the 18th century. The ideals of the enlightenment are still thought of today, as they are a part of the United States’ Declaration of Independence and Constitution. When one remembers Benjamin Franklin very few people are aware of the fact that he worked as a printer until the age of 42. As a printer he had access to substantial amounts of literature.
In order to understand how important this man was, I’ll be talking about his life, work, and accomplishments. Benjamin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17, 1706 to a soap and candle maker. His father, Josiah Franklin, had seven children with his first spouse, Anne Child, and ten more with his second spouse, Abiah Folger. Ben was the youngest son of Josiah and his 15th child. Ben stopped going to school at age 10 to work full-time in his father’s candle and soap shop.
