Do you believe most people who become heroes are destined to become heroes, or do you believe anyone can become a hero? • Why? I don't believe in destiny anyone can be a hero is they have the will to. 2. A hero's journey is often a search for something of great importance. It may be an ideal, a question that must be answered, or an item of great importance. Often the heroes neglect all else until they have found it. How do people's individual journeys through life mirror this same search? What do you seek that is important? • It mirror's our life because we always seek our item of great importance let it be a person who to love or a hidden skill. 3. In our society, people often gain hero status based on their accomplishments rather than on their character. People are often looked up to because they are rich or famous, or because they are good singers or athletes. Do you think these people deserve to be labeled heroes? • Some do, and some don't because hero's ae looked up upon if the person cannot be a good role model they cannot be labeled a hero. 4. The hero’s journey archetype has appeared in many forms of literature and will most likely continue to do so for as long as long as literature exists. The story of Equality 7-2521 and his journey to find the true value of individuality is one example of this very commonly used archetype. The hero’s journey usually follows the same basic plot. There is a hero with a place to go and a stated reason to go.
There are many traits that heroes can demonstrate in stories. The two stories The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, and “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell both have heros in them. Connell’s story portrays a hero named Rainsford, who crosses a mysterious island where humans are hunted for fun, and he himself has to run for his life. Twain’s book follows a young boy named Huck, who has run away from his father, and his older friend Jim, who is a runaway slave. Jim is more of a hero because he is more self-sacrificing, unafraid of negative consequences, and more determined.
Heroes are not defined or created by people or events that shape who they are but they are born to make a change. Throughout history there has been several heroes born to make a change. Heroes can be traced throughout history and still continue to exist. Heroes are born with a greater intention for their futures than mindlessly working through life; they are born to be leaders. Real heroes are born to set standards for the future and to lead the present.
Have you ever wondered why people decide to become heros? In the articles Jackie Robinson changed Baseball, theseus and minotaur, the woman who helped anne frank died at 100, they all have heros and important to the society. Also, they went through a lot and made the society better.
Throughout time, the meaning of the word “hero” has changed throughout the world. Everyone has their own perspective of what qualities and characteristics “heroes” should have. In today’s modern world, we hear the word “hero” used constantly in tabloids, on the news, or in plain conversation. What exactly is a hero? Who, or what, can be classified as heroic?
What makes a hero? A hero is someone who is willing to take a chance on something. Someone who can be strong and courageous to accomplish something. Someone who can complete a task and change a whole country. That is a hero.
To most people, a hero is a brave person with an amazing costume. Heroes usually have super-powers and are always saving people. But it takes much more than this to be know as an a hero. Some characteristics of an hero are super-natural help, leaving on a journey . In The Odyssey by Homer, Odysseus shows many traits of an hero.
Have you ever thought about what a hero means to you? They say a hero is a person who is idolized for courage, outstanding adventures, or heroic qualities, but is that really all there is to it? Jason from a Greek myth and Benjamin Clark who was an everyday man are both considered heroes. I feel that heroes from today such as Benjamin Clark are more heroic than ancient Greece heroes such as Jason.
A hero could be anyone. Heroes don’t have to shoot lasers or be able to fly. A hero could be someone who simply shows a great act or certain character trait like bravery or courage. Heroes go through a journey containing a call to adventure, a departure and a return to their homeland. A good example of heroism and heroic acts is David from the Chrysalids and Daniel from The Dangerous Days of Daniel X. David and Daniel experienced sacrifice, hardships and bravery through their journeys of becoming a hero.
“These heroic archetypes pop up all over Western Lit. They are: Stereotypical/Classical Heroes, Everyday/Everyman Heroes, and Anti/Un Heroes” (Bunting). Each type of hero is used for certain reasons; not all stories use the anti-hero and the classic hero is not always the way to go. There are many reasons why an author would choose to use a certain type hero in their work.
The qualities that make an epic hero are strength, courage a strong mentality, and the aspiration to achieve heroic acts. Many heroes are considered role models as they make brave decisions attempting to do something extraordinary. Heroes often fight against the causes of evil as they try to make the environment a better place. Hercules (son of Zeus) is one of the many known Gods to Greek mythology. He is supernatural and immortal.
A lot of the heroes in Greek Mythology were extraordinary people back in their day because of certain traits they possessed. But would they still be considered heroes today if they were still alive? I believe that the heroes of ancient Greek times held traits that, if in our society today, would be extremely frowned upon. But, few heroes have traits that would be positive in today’s world. The three heroes that are being evaluated are Theseus, Hercules, and Perseus.
The characteristic and difficulties they went through are why heroes become more “hero” but why people become
