“Well, you’re all done.” As I Flicked my tongue across my teeth, an odd satisfying feeling came over me. No more metal, that disgusting, horrifying taste of metal was finally gone. My orthodontist handed me the mirror. I hesitated initially, but as I looked at my reflection, everything around me seemed to light up, not because of my obviously eye-blinding teeth, but because of the confidence that started to ooze out of me. My orthodontist took great pride in his work as I initially displayed my new smile. I was ecstatic because I had crooked teeth and overlapping canines since childhood and was always hesitant to smile even when I wanted to. I will be forever grateful to my orthodontist for giving me a new smile and a new perspective on what will

Simone Van Iderstine was 16 years old when she became pregnant with her first child, Eve MacKinnon. Eve was an accident, she was not supposed to be a result of what happened that night at the party. People were more often- he searched for a smile, found one in his work- torches, blazing away until they whiffed out. How rarely did people's face take off you and throw back you your own expression, your own innermost trembling thought? (11). Explanation of quote. “‘Are you happy?’” (10). Explanation of the meaning of the question and what it does. Conclusion.
When you are young, you are asked: "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Most children would reply by saying a superhero, a professional basketball player, a model, etc. My response was always, someone who can make a difference in an individual's life. Finding out how I was going to do that exactly was challenging until I reached my junior year in high school. I remember going to the Dental Office to get my regular cleaning and after watching my Dental Hygienist at the time, conduct her regular duties such as cleaning my teeth and educating me on good oral health I was intrigued. At that very moment, I knew that I wanted to help others by becoming a Dental Hygienist. I think that promoting and educating others on good oral health is very important because it
Not many achieve happiness in their lifetime. Either they do not live long enough to witness it or they are not prepared for what their happiness is. Happiness is very subjective. In the story "The Great Gatsby" Nick has a favorable opinion of Jay Gatsby. In the first chapter of the book Nick states "When I came back from the East last autumn I felt that I wanted the world to be in uniform and at a sort of moral attention forever; I wanted no more riotous excursions with privileged glimpses into the human heart. The book gives many examples of Nick thinking of Gatsby as the "Great" such as Gatsby 's smile, what Gatsby was willing to do for Daisy, and what Gatsby did for himself.
I honestly believe that everyone wakes up in the morning wanting to be happy, I have never seen a person who wakes up saying, “ I want to have an absolutely miserable day today”. It is human nature to strive for happiness and do things that you enjoy to do. John Mill says, “those only are happy (I thought) who have their minds fixed on some object other than their own happiness” which I don’t
