Hamilton Howard “Albert” Fish was born in Washington D.C. on May 19, 1870. His mother and father were Ellen and Randall Fish. Fish’s family had an extensive history of mental illnesses, making him possibly prone to different disorders. Several of his family members were diagnosed with different mental disorders. His uncle suffered from religious mania, his brother was placed in a state mental hospital, and his sister was diagnosed with a mental affliction.
The definition of a tragic hero is: a great or virtuous character who is destined for downfall, suffering, defeat, or death. Proctor can be labeled as a tragic hero because he is a righteous man who is destined to bear the mistakes
Heroes have appeared in all cultures throughout history. Joseph Campbell, expert mythologist, presents two types of heroes based on the hero deed. The spiritual hero, such as Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, and Moses, gains insight and shares it with the people. The physical hero, such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Mother Theresa, sacrifices himself for a cause, another individual or a people. Anthony Burns is a hero because he possessed the hero qualities of wisdom, courage, and self-sacrifice to perform the hero deed of creating a movement against slavery and freedom for all slaves.
The tragic hero is defined as, "a literary character who makes an error of judgment or has a fatal flaw that, combined with fate and external forces, brings on a tragedy." (Web). There are many tragic heroes in literature. A good example of a tragic hero is John Proctor, from Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible. John Proctor is a farmer living a simple life in a Puritan town with his wife and children.

In this play Romeo is the tragic hero because he fits all of the criteria of a tragic, hero, his flaws lead to his destruction some of those being emotionally driven, he is impulsive and immature. The first reason why Romeo is a tragic hero is that he is emotionally driven.

John is seen as a devil worshipper when he says, “I hear the boot of Lucifer, I see his filthy face!”(119-120) He says this because he is now being the one accused of having seen the devil and this was his way of responding. It seems to make everyone think that he is evil because he is saying how he has seen that devil and that it was Danforth that he saw.

The narrator killed doodle effectually. The brother was egoistic and didn’t listen to Doodle when he wasn't eligible to work anymore. Doodle unpleasantly died because of his condition which was hard for him to cure because he was born with a condition that he could never walk. Doodle was born October 18 , 1911 and died in 1918 just before his seventh birthday. Doodle was born with a condition where he cannot walk, and was expected to die as an infant.

This technology continues to increase in complexity with time and causes the people who use these technologies to always be adapting to the changing times. However, this new technology has to have come from the brains of someone. These people who create these technologies are often praised and called heroes due to their achievements that improve society. One such hero is Steve Jobs.

However, Okonkwo does have few traits of tragic hero.
After leaking of the clandestine surveillance program PRISM which is operated by the United States National Security Agency (NSA) to collect internet communication including telephone calls, e-mails and other files made by millions of American, Edward Snowden is considered as a traitor by some of American politicians. They criticize his conduct violate the law and should be prosecuted. However, most of the ordinary citizens hail Snowden as a hero to reveal the unethical actions taken by American government. A person, through his own decisions and actions, to defend one country and maybe all the countries people’s freedom, is not called a hero, then who else can be called a hero?

However, Miller believes that the common man is equally subject to tragedy as the highest kings are. In The Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller portrays the protagonist, Willy Loman as a tragic hero. Willy Loman is a financially struggling man in his sixties looking for success for him and his family.
