The information regarding about thalassemia will be gathered through series of in-depth interviews. The gathered information will help us develop our theory regarding people who experienced thalassemia and also in our knowledge of the subject matter.

Statement of the Purpose This qualitative research study aims to explore the lived experiences of people with Thalassemia. The study 's main question is then
What are the lived experiences of adults with Thalassemia in the Philippines?
Associated to this main research question, the following areas of interest were also explored:

1. How did thalassemia affect their lives?
2. How did they live with thalassemia?
3. How knowledgeable are people about the Thalassemia?

Scope and Delimitations The purpose of the study is to inform the society of this genetic disease called "thalassemia" and give an insight of how thalassemic people approach the revolving world they dwell in. The study set an interview restricted to 3 thalassemic patients without further extension. The vicinity of Manila was chosen as the locale of the …show more content…

Thalassemia abridges several aspects and capabilities of people acquiring it. It is important that these people are able to control and manage their emotions that may tower over them. With this study 's aid, their healthcare providers (eg. psychologists, nurses, doctors, etc.) may know what kind of approach and consultation they must do, and they may also be able to develop more routes to help them.

Future researchers
This study is very helpful for future researchers who aim to study anything with relation to thalassemia as this provides guidance and reference. This is also helpful for the starters of research as this paper can be used as their example and guidance into doing their own study.
