Kraft Evans high school Technology Helps Create Social Isolation The effects that technology have on our society in which it can cause social isolation was observed in this paper. The book, Fahrenheit 451, relates to the point on how their society ended up due to their obsession with technology. Also, research found that people who use technology are proven to spend less time with other tasks like spending time with their family or even going to sleep. The way they lived their lives have changed, now they have become depended on the technology and their minds have changed, they expected everything to function as the same way technology does, faster. There is a loss of independence in us every time we use technology, the ability to stay focus is taken away by internet.
Poems are short meaningful pieces of literature that can be interpreted in multiple ways depending upon the reader at hand. That is what makes a poem unique compared to other literature pieces because in a poem the author tends to use figurative language to fulfill meaning behind their work. One poem “Love is a Sickness Full of Woes” by Samuel Daniel describes the pains of being lovesick. Love can either benefit us if nurtured and cared for, but if not tended to then let loose can ultimately hurt us. As to another poem “American Solitude” by Grace Schulman describes a life of solitude being most warming to the soul to ward off loneliness. To avoid the affect of feeling lovesick or unwanted, a life of solitude is a choice indeed. The two authors have two different aspects of life in how one should live to
Imagine being in a room full of people, but no one talks or looks at each other. In fact, each person is plugged to a machine. This is how technology has affected society. Some people believe that technology has begun to manipulate our brains, while others claim it is taking intimacy from our relationships. The writers, Nicholas Carr and Sherry Tunkle, explain in their articles how internet use is affecting the way humans think and feel.
In fact, people are still able to bond using technology, it can help people to keep in touch, and it can be used to help people cherish what is important to them. As long as humans do not abuse it, electronics can simply be used as a new way to interact with one another. Unlike the outcomes of “The Veldt” and “The Pedestrian”, technology does not have to consume or ruin lives. People should encourage one another to use the modern items at their disposal without uninformed cynics claiming that they are living life
Before the invention of the computer and the internet, face to face communication was a normal everyday occurrence and loneliness and isolation was a problem that rarely was experienced or discussed. Currently, technology is an essential part of many people’s lives, allowing them to use their devices and communicate with others in diverse ways and places. Technology has helped define society and established how one interacts with others daily by the way they communicate, learn, and think. There are both positive and negative effects of technology and the social individual.

In today’s society, people are more likely to pull out an electronic device to search information that is needed. Also, both authors also agree that social media is affected the way humans think. Social media has created an online “culture” that has changed the way people think and behave.
Often times when one is struggling with loneliness their internal perception is that no one likes them, that they are set apart. “It is appallingly obvious that technology has exceeded our humanity. “, Albert Einstein had the epiphany that technology would began to remove some of the things that make us human, such as interpersonal social skills. It is safe to say that his words are becoming true to life.
