Portraits drawn by Raphael are a vital source for the analysis of his artistic motives. “Lady of the Unicorn” (fig. 3), one of Raphael’s earliest Florentine portraits, owes much to Leonardo’s “Mona Lisa” in its design. However, the clarity of light which infuses even the shadows with colour not only recalls Raphael’s early exposure to the paintings of Piero della Francesca, but also in itself a statement he wanted to make through his art. Raphael’s obsessive experiments with clarity of features cannot be construed as a mere influence of his teachers or contemporaries. Somewhere deep down, deliberation to do away with the mysterious haziness associable with divine or religious mystification must have inspired the Italian great to incorporate
The author writes that as soon as the princess had learned of her lover’s fate in the king’s arena. “Had it not been for the moiety of barbarism in her nature, it is probable that lady would not have been there; but her intense fervid soul would not allow her to be absent on an occasion in which she was so terribly interested (Stockton 284).” Due to the fact that this princess is half barbaric the arena, part of her nature would like to see her lover eaten by the tiger. Paris’ inhabitants were as social as ever, and often enjoyed themselves at cafés and bars. This modernization acted as a perfect catalyst to support the surging wave of capitalism across Western Europe.

Gertrude is astonished by the play queen’s insincerity to her husband. Gertrude thinks that the play queen may never marry again due to her undying love for her late husband. However, she does, just like Queen Gertrude marries a second time to Claudius. Throughout Act 3, Hamlet tries to make Queen Gertrude understand the horrible sin she has committed by marrying Claudius.
