The Lockerbie Bombing

On April 11 1995, residents of Oklahoma City began their day as they normally did. They did not realize it might be their last day on earth. At 9:02am their lives would change forever. The Murrah building was bombed and many people lost their lives. People may have wondered the motive, the bombing, and the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing.

The Boston Marathon Bombings, prompted various actions and responses by people and groups in Boston and the USA, as well as around the world. These actions and responses changed over time and went through different phases as the events began to unfold.

Were each of the two men involved in the crime mentally unstable? Could this have been a factor as to why the crime was committed?

Over the past few decades, hundreds of people have been falsely imprisoned. Many of their cases were founded on the account of one or more eyewitnesses. The criminal justice system often relies on eyewitness accounts to piece together a crime and identify the perpetrator. But studies showing the faultiness of our memories, particularly in stressful events, suggest that witnesses may not be as reliable of a source as we think.

I was assigned to watch two films outside of class in criminology for this assignment. I have not ever been assigned to watch a film for any of my classes outside of class. So I thought to myself, this is going to be one of my least favorite assignments I have ever done. Little did I know, that this assignment would turn into one of my favorite assignments I have ever been asked to do. The Boston Bombing occurred during the Boston Marathon in 2013 . Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamarlan set off two bombs near the finish line of the marathon, killing three people and wounding over 260 more . Tsarnvaevs older brother had been killed during a gun battle with the police and Dzokhar had later been arrested.

One of the many attacks that occurred after the 9/11 attack, is called the Pearl Harbor attack. It had taken place on December 7, 1941. I believe that the Pearl Harbor attack was a terrorist attack, according to the “USA people search”. On the first sentence, it has stated that the Pearl Harbor attack was the most deadliest one on American soil. It was considered as a terrorists attack because, it was an act of violence against people. The attack had only lasted for 2 hours, but the damage was devastating. Japan had ruined many expensive army force equipment such as, 20 native vessels, 8 enormous battleships, and almost 200 airplanes.

When Osama Bin Awad Bin Laden was born, he lived a pretty innocent life. He was the 17th child out of 50 siblings. He married a relative when he was 17 years old. His father, Muhammad Bin Awad Laden immigrated to what is now known as Saudi Arabia, from southern Yemen. He got a job as a porter to pilgrims that were on their way to the holy city of Mecca. Years later, he owned the largest construction company in Saudi Arabia. He later passed away in a plane crash in 1967. Every one of his children inherited millions of dollars. Osama, along with all of his siblings, had to work for the family company. They all had spent most of their summers working on the streets.
