My final is about the difference between the book and the movie “The Outsiders.” This next paragraph is about the description difference between the book and movie. Then the paragraph after that will be about the description of the background or cars that the characters drive or live in. I think that the move and the book where basted of the same story but I think that when the directors made the movie with some different cars or house that can change the movie or they put different things in it so that the movie will look better. Altogether the movie and the book were pretty good and had good meaning to it about want to think of life and it’s alright to not be tough and hard.
In the novel The Outsiders published in 1967, and in the movie, 1983, both by S. E. Hinton, they elaborate on many themes. For example, one is that violence doesn't solve anything, or things are hard all over. In the movie of The Outsiders it doesn’t express the same themes though. In both of these versions of The Outsiders though it has very similar storylines to compare the two of these versions and so the audience won’t notice. To compare and contrast these things though, must work with the scenes to work with emotions.
“Things are rough all over.” (The Outsiders pg.35) To begin, The Outsiders takes place in the 1950’s-60’s in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The conflict of The Outsiders concentrates on the gang rivalry between the Greasers and the Socials or “Socs,” who live on opposite sides of town. Moreover, the protagonist of the story is Ponyboy Curtis who has two brothers, Sodapop Curtis and Darry Curtis.
When he goes to court they find him not guilty of Bob's murder and he goes back home. Although the movie is based on the book, there is still major differences between the two, including Changing the beginning of the the book in the movie, Having Darry push Ponyboy instead of slap him, and the movie didn’t have Ponyboy
Pony and Johnny were in need of help which lead to a death of a Socs. In the book the other seven main Greasers help them escape, and go into hiding till the ongoing feud calms down. The book, and the movie had similarities and differences as well. The movie along with the book when I comes to the setting it is quite similar, and the plot.
The Outsiders In the book I read called The Outsiders By S.E Hinton. The characters mentioned in this book intently are Ponyboy, Sodapop, and darrel. These three boys are brothers. Two other main characters are Johnny and steve.
The Outsiders by DOMINIK O’NEAL In the book “The Outsiders”, Ponyboy goes through a lot. From being sick to watching people die. Ponyboy is a Greaser but he isn’t like the rest of the Greasers.
It tells a story the life of a 14-year-old boy named Ponyboy Curtis and his struggles with his moral code in a society in which he believes that he is an outsider. The book was adopted into a film in 1983. The movie strays far from the book, This had lead to many people thinking that the movie is not a pure adaption of the novel, Although their are some exceptions. Many use the example of both Johnny and Dally. As one is the same in both adaptations, however the other is much different.
Who Are The Outsiders? Unfortunately, social groups can sometimes be divisive. Writer, S.E Hinton, grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma and attended a high school that had a variety of social groups. Hinton thought this was idiocy, so she decided to write it in her best-selling novel “The Outsiders” {Doc A} Set in Tulsa in the 1960s this novel tells about two groups, the Socs and the Greasers.
The Outsiders is a fantastic novel by S.E Hinton that was published in 1967. This novel tells the story of a 14 year old boy named Ponyboy Curtis, who lives with his two older brothers Sodapop and Darry because their parents died in a car crash years back. The Curtis family are a part of the Greasers, a gang of young adults who don’t have very much money and get into lots of trouble. The Greasers have an ongoing rivalry with the Socs, the rich kids who spend their free time beating up greasers. One night, a fight with one of his brothers drives Ponyboy to run away with his best friend Johnny.
A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie. In The Outsiders one of the themes is “friendship”
“He ain’t a Soc, he’s just a guy.” -Ponyboy Curtis pg. 118. In the novel, “The Outsiders”,was written by S.E. Hinton, she displays two opposing sides of life, in a small city in the 1960’s of Midwest America.
In conclusion the two novels The Outsiders and Romeo and Juliet are both fantastic books. With the similarities being the gangs, fights, and loyalty and the differences that are the wealthyness, attitudes and
There are many similarities in the book and movie but in the book some scenes are cut out. For example, he does not meet with Bobo. When he meets with Bobo and Willy viewers learn more about the liquor store investment. Viewers also see what Willy looks like in the movie, they do not mention anything about how Willy looks.
The movie is much more detailed, while the book is very simple, but both options are a great choice to experience for any reader who enjoys romantic stories. The novel, “The Notebook,”
