At the beginning of the Taisho era (around 1913) the sixth Kanjo Arashiri (an inherited acting name), who was a most famous actor in the Osaka theatrical world, was a devoted member of Tokumitsu-kyo. He called himself Hamuraya, but his real name was Iwagoro Asakawa. According to the Tokumitsu-kyo magazine at that time, his name was Tokusaburo Arashi: it seems that this was his usual acting name. Tokusaburo Arashi had a problem with cavities and this was his chronic disease. When he was touring Kyushu, he suffered from severe periostitis from these chronic cavities and he had to be admitted to the Kyushu University Hospital for major surgery.
