Physically Active? Here's Why You Need to Use Insoles
Physically active people have lesser risks of being unhealthy since they workout a lot. However, by being physically active, they also increase their risks of developing foot injuries. It has been shown in a study that 21 percent of physically active adults developed exercise-related injuries concerning the musculoskeletal parts of the body such as the legs and the knees.
Foot injuries are common because of the overuse of muscles and joints when training, not mastering the correct techniques, accidents or even when you just wear the wrong shoes. Before you workout, it is best that you wear the right gear to prevent foot injuries. Start with your shoes. Use insoles to further protect your feet from harm.

If you have any foot problems, you’re more likely to develop pain in other parts of your body as well such as your hips, legs and knees. Say you have heel eversion, a condition wherein you excessively use your heel’s lateral side (outside) away from your median plane (middle). This affects the overall alignment of your lower extremities, so you might sustain hip pain. But if you correct your heel problems with insoles, it will also prevent pain from occurring in other body parts.
Insoles make your feet more balanced and stable. Different people have different types of foot arch. Some have normal arches, low and high. For people with low or high foot arches, they usually experience more discomfort when they walk or run especially when they don’t wear specialized shoes and orthotic device. They have a more unstable walking gait. But with the use of insoles, it can help their feet become more balanced and stable since insoles correct their abnormally low or high foot
