Two of the aircraft flown into the towers of the world trade center, third to the pentagon and the last one in the fields of Pennsylvania. As a reaction, the TSA increased the security inspections in all the airports due to the high alert awareness in the airports after these attacks. Meanwhile, the military began the Operation Enduring Freedom. After these severe actions, everyone began to profile any Middle Eastern decedent.
By this standard, Al Qaeda’s attack on the United States on September 11,2011 was a success in that they created a chaos big enough to last in the minds of everyone for eternity. In In order to kill America’s pride, wealth and power, four hijacked planes, with a total of 246 passengers, were turned into bombs and flown into American symbols. Three planes crashed into the World Trade towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth plane was supposedly on track to attack the White House, but, crashed in a Pennsylvania field. A New York rescue worker exclaimed that, “We 're going to look on this as the day everything changed… It just feels like nothing’s ever going to be the same” as a result of the thousands of passengers on the airplanes, policemen, firefighters, emergency workers and regular civilians who died that day without doing anything wrong (Stewart 10).
The attack on 9/11 was an atrocity. Many innocent people died. Many people lost their loved ones. According CNN.com, the terrorists hijacked four airplanes and crashed them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon Building in Washington, and a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The causes and effects of 9/11 on America and its people On september 11th 2001, I was in preschool when the first and second plane hit. My dad was at work, and my mom was on the way to drop off my sister at her school. Now the question is, where were you? The hijackings
The planes crashed into a tower. On the morning of September 11th, 2011 there were multiple series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda on the United States which is what normally is told. But, multiple architects and engineers believe that the planes could not have made the towers collapse like they did. The 9/11 twin towers and WTC-7 buildings collapsed because of controlled demolition rather than the planes themselves.
The events that occurred on September, 11, 2001 were among the most catastrophic events in American history. The events of the day were summarized as 19 militants associated with the terror group al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out targeted attacks in the United States. Out of the four planes, two of them were flown into the World Trade Center in New York, a third one into the Pentagon in Washington and the fourth one crashing off course into a field. The attacks resulted in the deaths of over 3000 people and the beginning of a soon to come American counter terrorism policy and the subsequent invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Although there are a lot of conspiracy theories around the real motives and players behind the attack,
became a reality imprinting Bin Laden and Al Qaeda into history forever. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility on the attacks that took place in Washington and in New York with pride for displaying the weakness of the American infidels. The goal of these attacks was to retaliate against the U.S. invasion into the Islamic world, and to show to the world the emergence of an opposing Muslim force. This assaults purpose was defined in their goals of opposing the Zionist-Anglo-Saxon-protestant coalition (Hoffman, 2003). Al Qaeda blamed the coalition for several notable political and social ills to the Islamic world.
Everybody on the plane died, but nobody outside was hurt. They had other plans besides the twin towers, but that plan failed so they turned to major
The terrorist attacks on 9/11 have caused many debates over the years since they occurred back in 2001. Two American planes were hijacked and ran into the twin tower buildings, another was hijacked and headed for the pentagon, but thankfully never made it. Thousands of Americans lost their lives on the days of the attacks and to this day the sorrow hangs with us. Security was a huge debate of the time because America is supposed to be the safest nation there is, so how did this happen? America had lots of changes to make the attacks on September 11, 2001.
All of these events demonstrated that al-Qaeda could carry out terrifying attacks thousands of miles away from its base in Afghanistan. Al- qaeda’s leaders did not care about their gruesome actions. In their minds, God was on their side so they could do no wrong. Many people to this day still question our government about the 9/11 attacks and why someone did not take action before it got to this point.
The attacks killed 2,996 people and injured over 6,000 others. Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes. Two of the planes (American airline flight 11 and united airlines flight 175) Crashed into the north and south towers of world trade center in New York City. One hour and 42 minutes after the crash of the planes both 110 stories towers collapsed resulting fire and the collapsing and damage to the other towers.
