After the end of the French and Indian War, the French lost to the British. They then left North American but not without first ceding most of their territory to the British in 1763. Before the end of the war, the British had some relation with the colonists and Natives. The Iroquois tribe and the colonists sided with the British during the war, while the Huron tribe sided with the French.
