4.3 Career goal
The past six months had been a fulfilling journey for me as I was able to discover my strengths and weaknesses. Through this internship, I was able to get first-hand experience of how is it like to be an auditor. At the same time, because of the nature of my work I was able to gain an insight into the work of commercial accountants. Hence, internship has better shaped my career goal and allowed me to be more aware of my strength and weaknesses.
My career goal is to land an accounting job in a firm and eventually working my way up to be a financial comptroller. My career goal is very different from what I have chosen to do for internship. I had to think for a while before being able to give them an answer. Thus in order to achieve my career goal, I will need to brush up on my technical knowledge and be a recognized accountant. Hence, I will be furthering my studies in university. After attaining my degree, I hope I will be able to have sound technical knowledge that will increase my chances of getting an accounting job in an organization. Once I have settled down in the new job, I will then enroll myself for professional papers to become a chartered accountant to further expand my accounting knowledge and gain recognition in the accounting
A financial audit is an independent, objective evaluation of an organization 's financial reports and financial reporting processes. The primary purpose for financial audits is to give stakeholders reasonable assurance that financial statements are accurate and complete. Most internal audits are not adding value. One reason is that “ongoing compliance burdens and pressure to do more with less” is contributing to the decline in perceived internal audit value.
I believe that my greatest asset is I have excellent interpersonal Information Technology (IT) skills which I acquired while I was undergoing industrial attachment at Brunei Shell Petroleum and Ministry of Education through interactions with different individuals from different background and it makes me comfortable performing different kinds of software, hardware and programming tasks ordered. I pride myself in being a hard worker, patient, fast learner and a results-oriented person with very high integrity. I am also self-motivated, highly motivated team players who are dedicated to quality, thrive on challenging and rewarding opportunities and are driven by a passion to succeed. I have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail. I am practiced at working on several assignments simultaneously, performing support and analysis roles across range of development and maintenance projects throughout my studies.

I enrolled in this class to get a better understanding of being a probation officer. My educational goal is to graduate with my associate degree and then transfer to get my bachelor’s degree. Coastal Carolina University offers 74 potential majors to chose from (Academic Programs 2017). Some of these programs are even dual enrollment programs with HGTC. With such a wide variety of programs, finding something that you’re interested in can be easy! Personally, I am interested in the body and medicine. Earning a degree in biology at Coastal Carolina University will help me get a job to eventually become a physician assistant.
Focus 2 Assignment – Reflection Upon completing the Focus 2 career assessment program, I am quite impressed at the quality of information it presents. It allowed me to not only look at careers that would fit my personality, but also those that take into consideration the fields I am already interested in. Also, as with any form of self-assessment, there were strengths and weaknesses that I did not expect based on how I feel I live my life currently. Beginning chronologically, the program had me complete two subjective, current measures of my professional career.
These positions will allow me to work on administrative duties, and challenge the time management skills I have obtained. This year I plan on being an Interpersonal Counsellor for the EOF/MAP summer program. I also plan on being a Resident Assistant next academic school year if I receive upper-classmen housing. Furthermore, I hope to acquire an opportunity to intern for an accounting firm. At this stage in professional development, I need to gain some work experience as an accountant to increase my chances for job opportunities after I graduate.
My career goals in life is either to play professional football (NFL), become a physical therapist, be a high school football coach, or take over my father’s business. Ever since I was a young child I loved watching football and playing it too it would mean the world to me if I went to play in the national football league (NFL). I love to run and try to stay fit my health is very important to me I like to discipline myself in everything I do athletically and also academically. I take pride in everything I do. I always enjoy overcoming a challenge that has stretched me to my limits.
The question my mom would always ask me is,”What do you want to be when you grow up.” I really never have an answer to that kind of question. I always think do I want to be a special agent or a NFL player. But instead I chose a random career, but I did use to like the career. The career I had chosen to be when I get out school is to be a carpenter because I liked this job since I was little, and to earn a good living in my future.
Career Autobiography There are many things that I feel have led me to year number two of graduate school pursuing a career as a school counselor. For I while I tried to convince myself that a career in school counseling was not for me and ultimately everything led me here. My mother has been a school counselor for the last 25 years and I grew up watching her do something she loved. I went to school everyday and watched my mother make a positive impact on many of my classmates and this left a very lasting impression on me.

I feel strongly that I want to be a financial analyst or financial planner when I graduate and pursue a business career. I have always liked handling my own personal finances, and from there I aim to help others manage their money and assets so that they too are successful. Ideas as to what your vocation might be? If so, identify them. I believe my vocation is to be able to help others.
