With the resources that would be provided to me by being a Schulich leader, I would be able to help others to the maximum of my abilities. I am hard working and take joy in helping others. This allows me to inspire people to also help others. My Academic Track Records, my financial need, and my extensive community involvement all make me a great Schulich Leader.
There are many positive attributes and assets that I possess. One of them is I am hard working; this will help our FFA chapter because I will venture to make a better and stronger chapter. Another positive attribute is I am reliable; I will strive to be at all of the meetings and activities that the chapter will bestow upon me. Last of all, I am a leader because I am passionate about the things I do while being open minded to the opinions of others. The FFA Chapter has many activities for members to participate in.
My advice to Laszlo Bock would be to know and understand what each member of the team has to offer. It is important for a leader to know what his or her team members are capable of doing and the resources and support they need to accomplish set goals. I feel that Bock should appoint team leaders to interact with each of the “thirds” and establish a common goal for each group to work towards. The group should also understand each other’s contributions and recognize each groups special skill sets and how they relate to the team goal. Leaders will be constantly working with groups to prepare them for projects, conflict resolution, reviewing their goals and achievements and also encouraging collaboration and team building activities.
HH also values diversity by embracing cultural differences which result in effective services provided within the treatment process. Lastly, HH values advocacy because everyone is responsible for helping bring change to their future (Horizon House, Inc., 2016). Colleagues know me as a highly disciplined and good-humored teammate, who can always be trusted to assist them, and someone who can come up with new approaches to our project. My biggest strength is my ability to analyze and evaluate an issue objectively, in order to form a good judgment. I am confident that my critical thinking skills make me a good fit for the Peace Corps. Beyond my academic and professional experience: I have the aspiration to surround myself with those who are committed to improve the living conditions of all. Without a doubt, the Peace Corps offers this experience and atmosphere.
The various activities required to complete the Administrative Field Experience has made me competent in this field of study. I am confident that the material that I have learned and the activities that I have participated in will allow me to enter an assistant principal role with knowledge and skill to take on the duties, responsibilities, and challenges of an assistant principal. The greatest strength that I will take into the role is my ability to help others. I have a strong belief that my job is fulfilled when and only when I can share my ideas with teachers so they can too perfect their craft. Therefore, I feel that I would be an exceptional instructional leader to the teachers in the building.
Making the right questions and showing your eagerness to study is a part of good communication which makes people inclined towards explaining and assisting you with their wisdom. To be able to gain as much knowledge as possible, we have to learn from numerous sources, and one of the best approaches is to learn from others’ experience. Attempting that requires us to showcase our will in appropriate manners and the other party to approve of us, which relates to the point that I mentioned earlier about how good communication can help us in establishing relationships, hence make people more open to share and help us. To sum up, I completely understand the value of communication in CA and have been preparing myself with the best I could so as to avoid and battle the potential hardships that I might encounter in the future. As a result, I find that my communication skills are not seriously lacking and hopefully I will not have to encounter major hindrances in forthcoming CA.
She mentions, “Locate a resilient kid and you will also find a caring adult or several-who have guided him.” This quotes strongly relates to me because I believe that if you really want to impact a student, teachers, parents or a community you must build a rapport and a strong relationship. In addition, Perry and Delpit (1998) mention in their book, “In order to teach you, I must know you.” This is a quote that I strongly relate to and maybe it is because my love language is quality time. Therefore, it makes complete sense and I can connect with this quote because I feel that in order for me to know my students’ I must invest time learning about them. In addition, a way of doing this is my learning about the students’ culture, traditions, and language. Once an educator learns about the students’ culture then they are able to incorporate it into their
A discovery wheel is an opportunity to tell the truth about yourself so you can know what kind of student you are or what kind of student you want to become. While completing this assignment I was to tell the truth to get the best results and find out truly what kind of student I am. I discovered that my strong abilities and skills are diversity, health, and communication. I think this is an accurate resemblance of what kind of student I am. I am always a student who likes to be around other no matter who they are.
