It was the day of September 11, 2001 and I was ready for
work at the fire station. My alarm is always set for 5:00 a.m.
every morning. I start work at about 5:30 a.m. and start off by
putting on my gear. I knew that this didn’t feel right, I knew
something bad was going to happen.
When I got to work it was all normal just like a normal day.
It was in the morning and we saved about ten people at a rush hour car crash between three cars. All of a sudden we heard a huge “BANG!” like a bomb went off. My fellow firefighters
and I were about jumped out of our skin One of the firefighters said
“What was that?!”
We all ran outside and we saw that smoke was
covering the sky. We couldn’t see where it was coming from or
what caused it.

Some of the people couldn’t hear me
because of the loudness caused by the huge fire. So I took my
megaphone and said to the people
“EVERYBODY START TO GO DOWN THE STAIRS TO SAFETY!!”
Everybody started to go down. Many boarded emergency vehicles to the hospital.
There were still a lot of people in the tower that were in such a
panic they were not listening to me. But I could see at the very
top of the tower a little girl that was about 6 years old who was screaming
for help and nobody was around her to save her. I quickly went
down the ladder and tried to move the ladder where she was. I
went up the ladder to go to her floor. The ladder only reached
the 80th floor, and she was at the 82nd floor. I said to myself
“I can’t just leave her there I have to go save her,” I knew that
I had to do something to go get her. I thought to myself: what if
I go into the building into the fire? So I started to go into the
tower and went up the stairs into the fire. When I got to the
82nd floor, I saw her just standing there in panic. I quickly
grabbed her she was scared to death.“PLEASE HELP ME” she
In the early 1900’s worker’s did not have a lot of rights and as a result work had to work in unsafe environments, they worked long hours, and had to endure horrible work conditions. Two years before the fire the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union (ILGWU) Local 25 assisted more than 15,000 workers to achieve better wages and safer work conditions. Isaac Harris and Max Blanck, who owned the Triangle Shirt Waist factory in New York City refused to let their employees organize a union and actually ended up firing over 500 people for supporting a union although some that were there at the time of the fire were a part of the ILGWU. There were roughly 500 people working in the Triangle Waist Company and were mostly made of immigrant women.
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire was a tragic disaster. 146 deaths. 71 non-fatal injuries. Some survived with no injuries, but only the lucky ones. And just think about it.
9/11 was one of the most pivotal events in world history; this tragic event continues to be remembered as thousands of Americans lost their lives that morning. On September 11, 2001 the United States came under attack by nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists. They directed their hatred towards two of our most symbolic trademarks; the twin towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington. The serious of four attacks carried out by al-Qaeda consisted of four passenger jets being hijacked, two of them were crashed into the World Trade Center, the third hit the Pentagon, and the fourth plain was directed toward Washington but ended up crashing in a field due to a fight the passengers out up with the terrorist on board. The attack claimed the lives
And I waited for the storm to end. Suddenly I heard a big crash and a man’s scream then a big “VOOOOOOM” And then the scream abruptly stopped. Somehow I knew what had happened. A man was running along fast for cover suddenly he sees a sun flare bearing down on him he screams then gets incinerated. When the Storm ended, I lifted the bell of my head and lifted the Liberty of off Charlie (The bell was so thick you could not hear anything from in there.).
The winds picked up. Out of the west, the dust rolled in. It blocked out the sun, leaving people unaware of what time it was. It was still day out, but the world outside grew darker. It was like the death of the dinosaurs, how the dust from the meteorite had covered the sun and doomed them, but only it was with a different kind of dust
The 9/11 Truth Movement is a social movement that aims to expose the lies and cover-ups surrounding the events of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. The members of this group, which include people from all professions, races, and socio-economic levels, wish to promote investigations and research regarding these attacks, seek justice for those hurt or killed on September 11th due to these events, advance the knowledge the American population has on this subject, and eventually replace the United States government system that orchestrated these events ("Our Mission"). Individuals involved in this movement believe these events were orchestrated by the US government “to justify the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, which
In conclusion, 9/11 had extreme and extensive effects on schools and school communities. Even though most of the aftermath was negative and painful, American society came together to support one another out of it as well. On the other side, the life before that day was particularly regular for most of society. There are numerous parallels between the time then and the time now, such as the example of the dress-code issue, and this observation is humbling yet eerie, for any moment a disaster could strike
Flying into Disaster September 11th 2001, a day full of tragedy and loss; a day all of us know by heart. It started as a normal day for the everyday citizen and american. But in reality, we all know it was a terrible and horrific day. Similar to the story of Romeo and Juliet, we know in the back of our mind what is going to happen, but we can’t change it or prevent it.
According to commission director Philip Zelikow, “On the morning of September 11 the last best hope of the people in the World Trade Center lay not with national policy," but with firefighters and police officers who responded to the disaster” (Roberts). Many people were told to return to their
It is peculiar how one day can change the entire course of your life, let alone the entire course of a nation. One dreadful day took the lives of thousands and terrified millions. Neighbors who once trusted each other, now looked at each other with terror in their hearts and fear in their eyes. The crisis and global heartbreak brought down on America by the calamitous and fatal events of 9/11 have not been forgotten. September 11, 2001 has been engraved in the minds of terrified American citizens for the past 16 years.
Disparagingly Yasin looked at Mazen who was studying Ethan's damaged moped in the shadows of Saddam Hussein's wasteful spending spree to build his grandiose, tasteless Summer Palace that cost over forty million dollars. Yasin kicked the gravel in resentment while he spat, nearly hitting Mazen. He roamed away, while he peered towards the pathway leading the New Oasis delegation to this Summer Palace. The Palace only reminded the younger Al-Shaytan brother of Saddam's reign that ruled Iraqi for twenty-four years. After a meticulous inspection of Ethan's moped, Mazen summarized it to be no longer drivable.
On September 11, 2001 it was early morning and I was sick so my dad had me go to work with him because my mom couldn’t watch me. Something terrible happened this day though. People were going to work to the trade center where my dad worked. My dad had arrived a little late to his meeting, we had both thought the was our biggest problem of the day.
For hundreds of years, conspiracy theories have stemmed and evolved about various events, raising major controversies, but before we examine the different types, let's ask ourselves: what even is a conspiracy theory? A conspiracy theory is a belief that explains an event or situation as being a result of a scheme by an organization, group or the government. Conspiracy theories can have a huge impact on people’s opinions and decisions, just like the 9-11 attack, vaccines for kids, and the moon landing plots have. One of the main conspiracy theories is about the 9-11 attack. Every year, on September 11th, America grieves the loss of its citizens in the 9-11 attack by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda.
Many of the people in the top floors of the towers truly believed that they could get out; that someone would save them. The all-encompassing helplessness
While reading, I felt like I was inside walking down the stairs with the employees. I could see the grey smoke and the soot. I could see everyone walking down the stairs with their hands
