Abstract
With the development of information technology and the rapid growth of third generation
(3G) mobile technologies; universities, schools, educational institutions and training centers can change the style of learning by using mobile technology to support the process of learning. This is known as “mobile learning” (or m-learning). Some countries around the world are realizing the significance of use mobile learning in education and start to take initiatives to implement the mobile learning system in schools to learn their students and connect them to the world. Most studies focus on developing and designing mobile learning applications without considering the factors that affect on users to accept or reject mobile technology in learning.

M-learning offers greater flexibility in the learning process through mobility. Mobility is the most significant feature of mobile learning (Coursaris & Hassanein, 2002), and it also enables users to receive and transmit information anytime and anywhere. So the problem of locality and the requirement that students travel to access learning will remove. According to Liu (2011), the most important advantage of mobile learning against to traditional education approaches is mobility. Additionally, Previous studies found that mobile users valued effectiveness and accessibility as the main advantages of M-learning, and these advantages are a result of the “mobility” of a mobile device (Y.-S. Chen, Kao, & Sheu, 2003; Hill & Roldan, 2005; Ting, …show more content…
6- Applications that allow learners to access different Third Dimension Virtual Worlds (TDVW) via mobile devices.
7- Exchange information for informal learning activities such as access social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc.)
8- Listen to podcasts presenting comments or lecture syntheses recorded by a teacher or classmate, after a class (Beckmann, 2010; Davis, 1989).
9- Learn in context. For example, one can visit a historical place and receive important information about events that happened in that place (Kukulska-Hulme, Sharples, Milrad, Arnedillo-Sánchez, & Vavoula, 2011).
10- Support in attendance teaching. For instance, some schools already demand that newly enrolled students own a tablet to attend the classes. De-Marcos et al. (2010) developed a self-evaluation system via m-learning as a support to teaching
This tool can be accessed from our own homes in iPads, computers, and cell phones that have access to all the information about anything in the world. Many people throughout the years have wonder if the increase use of internet is helping or hurting people’s capacity to learn new things.

The knowledge I gleaned from this activity resulted in a more tailored and focused learning experience for my students which met them where they were instead of assuming what they did or didn’t know. My lessons were more appropriate for the learning environment as a result of giving a pre-test and at the end of the unit both the students and I will be able to have tangible proof that our time was not wasted. Learning occurred and this pre-assessment allows us to prove

With decades of research, it came to a conclusion that not all students learn the same way. Jeremy Roschelle is co-director of the Center for Technology in Learning at SRI International. In his research, he examines the classroom use of innovations that enhance learning difficult ideas in mathematics and science. Chad Lane has a Ph.D. and M.S. in computer science and wants to create educational technology that will compelling and engaging.
Kennedy Hamlin Mrs. Gallos English 3 Honors 29 March 2018 A Twenty-First Century Problem: Cell Phone Usage in the Classroom Even though banning cell phones reduce distractions in the classroom, phones should be allowed in the classroom, but restricted to school work because it offers more learning opportunities and gets kids excited about learning. There are numerous benefits and downsides to allowing technology in the classroom. Having cell phones and other electronic devices in the classroom can be integrated into the curriculum. However, these resources might also be harming the children who use them repeatedly over time.
So it is lead to forgetting the basic way of learning. For example, when the teacher gives students homework they are turning to use of technological devices to search for the answers, rather than return to the main book. On the other hand, we can use the tablet devices in a good way to avoid all these defects, by observing teachers or the parents for their children and students and put some guidance of using tablets, such as placing the appropriate time. Also, the families can close some apps which are unwanted. (Peter, 1997,
A study conducted by Tsitsika and Janikan in 2013 stated that the usage of the internet continuously grow. About 32.7% of the world’s population has access to the social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Wikis and many more which let people to share their interests easily with others everywhere. So the reciprocal connectedness all over the world is growing rapidly due to the use of the internet. When students use technological gadgets like laptops and others by the

In the classroom, technology can encompass all kinds of tools from low-tech pencil, paper, and chalkboard, to the use of presentation software, or high-tech tablets, online collaboration and conferencing tools, and more. The newest technologies allow us to try things in physical and virtual classrooms that were not possible before. Today, I cannot imagine how difficult it is to teach without technology and how hard it is to learn without it. Technology plays a major part in our lives as students.
It is my goal to make sure students are not just memorizing facts, but are actually understanding. They should be able to take the lesson and apply it to other areas of their lives. I believe students need to be assessed frequently and routinely. The students need accurate and effective feedback, so they can make any necessary adjustments.
Do cell phones in class actually have such a huge impact on learning as educators say they do? Is it really relevant to ban cell phones at school? Do we really have to ban something which was already part of the school system? A simple answer to all of those questions is no. Although some schools don’t think cell phone usage should be allowed in a classroom.
