In early times, people made and received phone calls using cellular phones. However, nowadays, cellular phones are often small computers (i.e., smartphones ) as new technology has evolved. For example, people can watch movies and listen to music on one of these devices. Therefore, the global smartphone market grew rapidly in 2010 compared with the previous years.

Nearly two-thirds of American adults (64%) now own a smartphone of some kind, up from 58% in early 2014 (Smith, 2015).
A tremendous growth in the usage of smartphones has skyrocketed among all regions and across the world. 3.1 Overview To find out about the underlying effects of smartphone on the 2 dimensions of health of millennials, 76 questionnaires have been completed and collected in order to investigate the trend of smartphone use amongst Hong Kong millennials. With the support from other statistical resources to back up my findings, this could provide a concrete platform for my conclusion in the later stage. 3.2 Focus question 1: What is the current situation of smartphone use amongst Hong Kong millennials? Many of the respondents spend 5 to 6 hours a day, specifically 34.2%, which is the largest percentage.
