According to the Michael Kolkind in the essay History 489 at Berkeley the conflict over people’s park took place. According to the author it was a small space took by the local activist from the university of Berkley which failed to improve it after “demolish some houses”(5). According to the author they created a space that would bring more people to join their causes. The author describes this action the “beginning of the end of the student movement”. For the extremist activists it was a military battle against the citizen that they were supposed to defend.
After the Roman empire fell and Rome split into the Eastern and Western empires, each empire developed differently. The differences can be clearly seen when analyzing the churches which each empire produced. In the year 1054, the Christian church branched out in the Eastern and Western empires to Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholicism, respectively. The alienation between the Eastern and Western churches was deeply rooted in political and cultural differences. As Western culture evolved, largely due to the influx of Germanic peoples in the West, the Eastern culture stayed virtually the same, sustaining a tradition of Hellenistic Christianity.
“The Treaty Story”, By the Minnesota Historical Society, and “What Does Justice Look Like?” by Wazyatawin are two pieces about Native American treaties when Minnesota was first being established. They both discuss the initial discovery of the land by fur traders and European settlers in the 1700’s and on, as well as the first communication between natives and white settlers. Both are credible, factual, but they differ when it comes to the speaker, the audience, and the word choice used throughout each text. “The Treaty Story” is an online interactive text meant for 6th grade students in Minneapolis Public Schools who are in the Minnesota history course; therefore the Minnesota Historical Society wrote it to be as unbiased as possible.
Both colonies came from England to the Americas in search for something. In addition, from both colonies, many of their men died and starved during their journey. Once they got to the Americas, the Natives helped them out by supplying a few necessary things like food, which really helped. In contrast, both came to the Americas for different reasons.

Each country was motivated by the idea of having a strong foothold on this side of the world. They all thought that by increasing the size of their colonies, it would increase their world power, this in fact turned out to be the opposite. In the end they created a new superpower that would end their colonization in North America and force them back to their homelands. The first misstep by the French, Spanish, and British was their underestimation of the natives. They thought they could come into the land and call it theirs without any confrontation.
World History 1600-1650 The world has been in a huge number of wars. Wars could be deadly. Between the years of 1600-1650 , there were a lot of wars, religious conflicts and science developments. One of the most famous wars in this time was the war which started in 1600 and lasted around 30 years and it´s called ¨The Thirty Years War¨. The thirty years war was a series of brutal , bloody , and a very deadly wars that took place mostly in Central Europe and it is seen as one of longest and most destructive conflicts in European history.
The study of AP United States History will provide a much greater understanding of how our country came to rise. Because I have been studying United States history since 8th grade, learning more material will certainly enhance my knowledge of United States history. Through reinforcement by previously learned material, as well as learning new material, this study will give me a great insight to my understanding of how our country evolves. Moreover, having a knowledge of United States History will prepare me for future endeavors, as the study of history is essential to move forward in society. We, as citizens, should begin to use previous tactics to build upon new tactics in today’s worldly affairs.
World War II is commonly thought of as one war between many nations. While World War II consisted of many nations, World War II was split into two different wars. One war in the Pacific and one in the Atlantic. The war in the Pacific was chiefly fought between the Japanese and the United States of America and was caused because of the embargo set on Japan by the United States and the rise of imperialism. The war in the Atlantic was fought between the Allies and the Axis Powers.
The Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, and English all played a major role in developing the great America. With each of their own exploring and colonizing skills, the countries had their different goals to achieve. Many of the colonies mainly desired religious freedom. However, some also just wanted profit. Such as the Dutch, who journeyed to America to spread their religion and find some type of gold or anything valuable.
