The overseas influence of BTS Bangtan Boys (BTS) is one of the most popular Korean idol group with high popularity. They have a huge number of fans in Asian and American countries. It is undoubtedly that the popularity and the influence of idol group is closely related if we try to focus on the influence of BTS, we have to talk about the current situation of having high popularity of BTS. The first part I will focus on the phenomenon of having high popularity of BTS in overseas countries and the second part I will focus on the possible reason that make BTS have large influence. They are the first Korean artists ranked 26th in America’s Billboard 200, the highest records among Korean artists. They maintained their rank in Billboard 200 for more than one week, which was the first in Korea to achieve such record with just 1 track. They’ve also ranked 1st in 97 music charts all over the world, including iTunes. BTS was the first Korean artists to rank 1st with their official album in top music chart in America, which is ranked according the sales volume of albums. They also continued the record by making the K-pop chart of Apple music full of Korean tracks. BTS got the Shortly award on Best in Music and the Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist which is a highly competitive award. They have to compete with the top rank artist all over the world, including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomezin. It is a prove of their high popularity in circumstance.
