Reading this essay Noelle is consistent to the end. She gives reasons, supporting evidence, and a claim. With so many distractions, everywhere around you, its' hard not to pick up the remote, your laptop, and your cell phone. Especially when you're at home it seems convenient, but the slightest thing can break your concentration, and studying has now become less effective. “Students sometimes just cram the material instead of understanding the concepts thus affecting long term understanding of concepts” (Kumar).
Quality Over Quantity Throughout reading a book, the themes and morals that are meant to be taught are often overlooked. One never stops after reading a book or story to ponder about what they might have learned by reading the book. The book is simply put down and forgotten. The best books, however, have themes that are never forgotten and can be applied to any other book or even in greater situations.
The reason was because in most children 's books I have read are all based on lessons, in which it made me stay away from reading because it was so boring. As the session ended, it made me rethink the importance of writing and reading and how different approaches can to lead to

Even if it is just for a short distance, I plug my earphones in and listen to a podcast because sometimes being left alone with my thoughts is just too scary. I am always either reading something or listening to something and I am happier that way. Introspection is difficult and frightening. I understand that it is necessary, but it is so easy to reach out and grab my phone for something, anything to occupy my mind.
Anyone who has ever played a visual novel before will feel right at home and even newcomers will have no trouble clicking through the text and performing functions like saving or loading. The game doesn’t feature any speech, so prepare for quite a bit of reading, but since everything is well written this doesn’t feel like a chore. After completing all three different routes we only spotted a couple of errors in the text and none of them are too serious. We should also mention that all the text in the game is displayed in bold on a red background, which might cause issues for some players. The soundtrack isn’t too bad although there are a couple of tracks that feel like they don’t really fit in that well.
Each book is a portal to a world you interpret on your own and that is usually the authors goal. I believe that reading is a worthy topic of discussion for some people in this generation because reading itself is hard to pinpoint due to the vast amount of different interpretation of readers. It may be beneficial to discuss this topic for people who were never enlightened on the stigma of reading and have an intention of possibly changing the world’s idea of reading. Especially with the lack of reading that is happening throughout this current generation. Some may argue that we, as a society, are reading more than ever due to technology.
My Distraction Filtering Agility trait says that I block out distractions slowly which wasn 't a surprise to me because I often get distracted a lot with even a little noise or movement when focusing on my work such as reading a book, doing homework, etc and I take a lot of time to focus on my work again when I 'm distracted. I was quite surprised by my score in Trust trait which says that I tend to be skeptical a lot. That 's because I trust most of the people, especially friends, with my belongings or when I need some help with something. I 'm skeptical a little bit but "a lot" seems far-fetched. I got deep insights into my traits and revelation about some traits that I didn 't think I had but it 's good to know.
Reading is one of the best ways for a person to spend time while still reaping the positive benefits of it. Many of the people who claim to not like reading often say it is because they prefer movies. On the surface this may not seem like that large of a problem but when taking a step back and
As I turned the next page of the book, I gasped and watched as the book fell from my hands to the hard wooden floor. Laini Taylor, the author of the Daughter of Smoke and Bones trilogy, has done it again. I proceeded to pick up the second installment of the trilogy off the floor as I marveled on how she does this in every story she writes. Laini Taylor is a fantasy, young-adult author who has a specialty in writing plot twists. Every single piece she writes, gives me, the reader, more pleasure than the previous.
In Ellen Ruppel's, “In Praise of Bordeom” she explains from her personal history that boredom can be more beneficial than having an itinerary for your child because it can suppress the room to grow in creativity and imagination. For example, when she was a child, she consistently attended a vacant parking lot and would entertain herself with activities such as reading books, bouncing balls around and playing in the grass. She mentions that we are losing trust in our kids and don’t give them a long enough leash to navigate into the world. Ellen points the finger at marketing, because these days we are taught that the more money we spend on a learned progress like karate, organized sports and lessons, the more successful they will grow up to be. She feels that parents are straining a child's creativity and that play is
