On the research I conducted many economist agree that the Clinton presidency deserves some credit for the economic rise of the mid 90’s. According to multiple opinions the fact that Clinton allowed the Federal Reserve to manage interest rates in the way they deemed necessary, perfectly timed the market and avoided inflation, thus maintaining and even increasing the value of the US dollar. Effective interest rate management proved to be the key to maintain a low inflation rate. Each rise in the inflation rate was met by an even larger rise in the nominal interest rate. This kept the inflation rate from being volatile, for the more the Federal Reserve (Fed) responds to inflationary pressures, the less problematic inflation becomes.
After Clinton was elected for his second term is when progres was really being seen about the deficit. In 1997, there was an 8.2% annual growth and the deficit was down to $22 billion in 1997 from the $290 billion in 1993 because of the tax revenue (Harris 263). The book then talks about how Clinton wanted to expand NATO to the new nations of the former Soviet Union to make an united Europe (Harris 282). The Russian president was uncertain at first because Clinton wanted all nations of the former Soviet Union to join, however, Russia did end up joining after Clinton said that all nations wouldn’t be joining at once (Harris 287-288). The book then talks about how Clinton had to help out in in the Kosovo problem.
Based on his campaign visits, it is no surprise that Bill Clinton won the Election of 1996. Despite the events of Whitewater, Bill Clinton succeeded in his re-election campaign for the Presidency of the United States. In terms of campaigning, it appears that Bill Clinton was born to campaign. Overall, audience members of his campaigns visits responded positively right after the visit of the President on his re-election campaign. In one event early on in the campaign in 1995, Clinton visited the University of Texas at Austin were observers described Clinton as “to be in his element occupying the limelight and looking presidential”.
This meant that he could command how he saw fit, and his ideas would not be shot down. This would mean that he would take the glory for each victory, but this also meant that he would take the blame for their defeats. Clinton had many campaigns that failed because of weather conditions causing reinforcements to not arrive when they were needed (Henry Clinton). He also didn’t get very much support from England. The king did not believe that the war could be won, and sent very few troops and supplies to the British troops in the Americas.

Another accomplishment is when he passed the Civil Rights law. This happened in 1866 in the White House. It gave the right for the Members of Congress to vote. He did all these things, but his presidency ended before expected. Andrew Johnson also purchased Alaska from
He set foot in politics in Arkansas and in 1976 was elected Attorney General and was elected Governor in 1978. In the Presidential Election of 1992, Clinton defeated former President George Bush and H. Ross Perot (Class Notes). When his presidency began the Cold War had just ended. He was the first President for the baby-boomer generation. He created many economic policies and one big one was focusing on reducing the federal deficit where he eventually balanced the budget.

He was the first president to make the first peaceful transfer of power to the rival political party. He had also helped move along the Louisiana Purchase, which doubled the United States in size. “Thomas Jefferson must be considered a champion of human rights. He believed that all men deserved these necessary human guarantees.
President Clinton managed to successfully create and pass a law that benefitted the economy without support from his party or the Democrats who voted for him. He risked reelection by going against what the Democrat voters believed in. But most importantly, he risked his legitimacy as a politician and a leader to do what was correct for the American people. In the end, NAFTA significantly helped the United States, and proved that Bill Clinton had the guts to achieve political goals that went against what those closest to him
Bill Clinton was also an American politician who had served as the 42nd President of the United States. He had served his time from 1993 to 2001 and throughout his time in office, he had both aided yet negatively impacted the United States, which can be seen through many acts and bills he had signed, both domestic and foreign. Domestic accomplishments of President Clinton firstly included cutting the tax, similar to what Reagan had done. Clinton had signed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, cutting taxes for millions of low-income families. He had also cut tax for almost 100% of small businesses and raised the tax on the wealthiest taxpayers.
Overall, his way of presidency and amount of bills he had vetoed, really helps support the fact that he was a
James Monroe was inaugurated on March 4, 1817, and is the fifth president of the united states. James Monroe, in his entire presidency, only had to veto one bill introduced by congress.
