Feeding America is a nonprofit organization that works together with food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other community based organizations. It’s a nationwide system of more than one hundred of food banks that feeds millions of people and organization president is Matt Knott. The mission of Feeding America is to “feed American’s hunger through nationwide network of member food banks and engage in the country in fight to end hunger” .
The organization employs hundreds of people in the main national office in Chicago, Washington DC office and across the country to serve the needs of the people and expand the system of food banks. The organization partners “provides meals to more than 46 million Americans each year” .
