Good Afternoon your honor, I am filing a motion for the admissibility of Cameron Awbrey’s statement because there is clear signs of attenuation between the statement given and the arrest. I will prove my case by providing examples of precedent cases similar to the laws involved in Cameron's case. In the precedent case Utah v. Strieff, the accused was survallinced over a short period of time, was subjected to an unlawful stop and arrest but later received a lawful arrest. The question was whether or not the fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine applied, which excludes evidence that is gained from an unlawful search or seizure.
Chris McCandless was found September 6th, 1992 by moose hunters. The pungent smell of his decomposing body led them to find the bus. There was an S.O.S. note explaining Chris’s dire conditions, attached to the front door. After, arriving in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1992, young McCandless lived on the abandoned bus close to Denali National Park. Choosing to live in isolation for 4 months, he survived off small animals, potato seeds, a large bag of rice.

He look little food and equipment with him, before embarking on his journey McCandless abandoned his car and burned his money. He wanted to live simply in solitude away from the materialistic world. Timothy Treadwell, an environmentalist, also ventured to Alaska to study grizzly bears. Both Chris and Timothy set out to explore what the wilderness had to offer and they didn’t let anyone stop them from doing what they desired.

That body was Chris McCandless, who set out into the wilderness a few months before. He was originally thought to have just been an idiot, somebody who went out into the wild unprepared, and payed the price.

Chris was also a very independent person who had a strong relationship with nature. Chris was also the kind of kid to always get good grades, without even trying to.
The Unbeatable Souls The Lost Battalion is based totally on a real story of an American battalion that was sent out to battle during the World War I. Major Charles Whittlesey, a New York lawyer, who ends up in the trenches of France having under his command mostly young, unexperienced men. When Whittlesey and his battalion of five hundred men are ordered to advance into the Argonne Forest they find themselves surrounded by Germans troops when the other battalions instantly withdrew, leaving Whittlesey’s battalion on his own. Confined behind enemy lines, Whittlesey’s battalion turned into the only force in the German army’s plans to move forward. Trapped and with no other way to rescue, Whittlesey is given an opportunity to surrender, but chose to continue fighting and keep his men together.

He is famously known for being a Union leader during the Civil War, but he has had several other accomplishments while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Wes’s new resident lied in the streets of Dundee Village, where all sorts of people lived with different incomes, races, and ethnicities. Wes was “walking around Dundee Village hoping these bucolically named ‘avenues’ and ‘circles’ would lead him to a better place than the city streets had” (Moore 57) while also in hope of a better future. This quote is particularly significant because of its hidden metaphoric meaning. Bucolic, an adjective defined as of or relating to shepherds; pastoral, Wes was awaiting a new fate that led him, much like a shepherd, to a future exceeding his brother’s. Dundee Village was an escape for the Moore family, but it was also a flight for many other families and independents from the streets of Baltimore.

Collins create a connection between the speaker’s teacher teaching life and retired life in lines five and six of the poem. These connections are “ chalk dust flurrying down in winter, nights dark as a blackboard,” which compares images that the readers can picture.
His attitude toward the city is displeasure. This can be understood through the imagery used to describe the town. Through this literary device, the speaker describes the elements of the town in great detail, and he makes known what elements he dislikes. The speaker portrays the town as having “grain scattered streets” and “barge crowded water.” These two descriptions are given with a negative tone, and they imply the negative attributes of the city.
