Culturing Crop Yield

847 Words4 Pages

Crop yield is important factor that can be managed in agricultural production because demand for crop production increases day by day for the present population. In agricultural field, production is affected by various problems of weather, environmental conditions, spatial variability of soil conditions etc. Some farmers cultivate crops without knowing this type ofproblem. These problems lead to affect the yield productionthereby causing the loss of money. For these reasons, before cultivating a crop the soil condition, weather condition of specified area should be considered and verified whether the crop can be suitable for specified area condition. In this paper, Agricultural related datasets are used to predict the crop yield in given area …show more content…

In this paper, Rainfall, soil data and climate dataset are used to predict the crop production. These types of datasets are preprocessed that removes the unwanted and null data in the dataset. Feature extraction method is used to extracts a subset of new features from the datasets through functional mapping to maintain the information [5].In feature selection, genetic algorithm is used to select optimal features. Thegenetic algorithm is provided the opportunity to discover the optimum solution [6].The enhanced ANFIS classifier[8] is used in this work that contain improved C4.5[7] classifier in hidden layer that generate the rules to predict the yield. Section II reviews the literature on Agricultural production. The proposed method is demonstrated in Section III. Section IV discussed about the experimental results and performance metrics of proposed methods. Finally, Section V is about the conclusion.
