Perhaps the most famous line from the Declaration of Independence, written on July 4, 1776. 1776 by David McCullough is about just that: the year 1776, though it does mention events in previous and following years, in American history. McCullough’s purpose for writing the book is very clear: to educate readers about the details of the American Revolutionary War from the view of both sides in and around 1776. McCullough achieves this through mostly logos, but uses ethos and pathos just as well.
Over the course of American history, society has dealt with many flaws, and dilemmas. Latin American Independence : Haitian Revolution The Haitian Revolution was a slave-led revolt in the French colony known as Saint-Domingue. This event helped eliminate slavery and led to the formation of the Republic of Haiti. Additionally, it was the only slave revolt that led to the founding of a state. The Haitian Revolution is even said to be the most successful slave rebellion between Europe and the Americas.
The Declaration of Independence was penned primarily by Thomas Jefferson with the purpose of formally declaring America’s separation from Great Britain. In the document, Jefferson clarifies that the split is justified and that the colonists have the right to act on the injustices that has occurred under British rule. Both of the revolutions were liberating, but the French revolution was more violent and bloodier than the American. As to the American revolution was more conservative and federal. The American revolution is similar to the French except the American was more limited meaning that they had to be more conservative.

To begin, the declaration uses the phrase “Native Citizens” to bring a sense of nationalism to all citizens who are reading at the time. This sense of nationalism to start off the quote is attempting to rally the people of Haiti together, which is an idea that will continued to be brought up.
