The United States Declaration of Independence, and the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, are similar documents stressing freedom and equality. Besides that, they are very different documents. Not because of the content, but because why they were written. The United States Declaration of Independence was written to outline how the States had been wronged long enough by the British. The French Declaration was written to outline and put into writing the natural rights that each citizen had.
The French, Haitian, and American Revolutions were all sparked from the minds of the colonists, slaves, or lower classes who were treated with inequality by their own governments. In each location, there was a noticeable trend of mistreatment between government and people. In Haiti, slaves brought over by the French who captured the island, and forced them into brutal labor in what was the most valuable and wealthy are at the time. The government and leadership in France was corrupt as they were in much debt. King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette lived in Versailles far from the other forms of government, abusing the country wealth.
The Declaration of Independence v. The Constitution The Declaration of Independence is more significant than the United States Constitution, for the principles in the Declaration revolutionized the citizens’ thinking towards themselves and the role of government. As aforementioned, the ethics in the Declaration caused people’s viewpoints to be more respectful towards themselves. For example, the Declaration of Independence begins discussing the unalienable rights of men; these unalienable rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The colonists are essentially stating that King Charles III is not abiding these rights, causing them to grow agitated.
This quote taken from the Haitian Declaration of Independence can be broken down into sections showing how Jean-Jacques Dessalines was able to rally his Country together to fight for their right to become a sovereign State. To begin, the declaration uses the phrase “Native Citizens” to bring a sense of nationalism to all citizens who are reading at the time. This sense of nationalism to start off the quote is attempting to rally the people of Haiti together, which is an idea that will continued to be brought up. The declaration follows this by telling all people to cast their gaze on their island. To understand what the next part of the quote one must know that the Haitian Declaration of Independence was proclaimed on January 1st,1804, an era in which gender equality didn’t exist and the man was thought of as the only liable worker and soldier.
In "Anthem" by Ayn Rand, there's a big similarity between the society of The Brotherhood and the Declaration of Independence. In the Declaration of Independence it says that all men are created equal and in Anthem all men are really created equally. The men in Anthem are created so equally that they refer to themselves as "we" because, almost is as if they're an individual. Although the main purpose of the Declaration of Independence was the Americans separating from the British after realizing that the British country is small,we can see that some of the ideals in the Declaration of Independence are tantamount to those in Anthem. Anthem reveals that Equality isn't the same to the others in the story which makes him stand out in being the equal to all of them, which is quite ironic because his name is Equality.
The creation of the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation came because of a rise in struggle between the competing economic and political forces within the colonies. The British government began to impose unfair taxes and tariffs on the colonists such as the Sugar Act of 1764 and the Stamp Act of 1765. These series of events led to the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation. The Declaration of Independence announced the Colonies desire to split from Great Britain because of unfair taxing and violation of rights. The Articles of Confederation created an alliance of 13 states with a weak central government, no president and only a legislature.
In “The Declaration of Independence” Thomas Jefferson and the other members of the proto-Congress of the United States use formal diction in order to establish their credibility on an international stage. Their message was distributed throughout the colonies, but was never directly sent from the authors to the British government, so that the colonies would have more information and time to react to the English backlash. Thomas Jefferson and the other writers of the “Declaration of Independance” used diction in order to appeal to the masses of the thirteen colonies. The language applied by the authors was relatively easy to understand, with minimal legal jargon. This made it easier for the literate members of society to explain what the document was promoting to the

America’s gift to my generation consists of the Declaration of Independence and the First Amendment of the Constitution. The two documents are relevant to american history which impacts our day to day living. The Declaration of Independence is the most significant gift America has given to my generation, because it gave birth to what is known today as the United States of America. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress declared that the thirteen colonies were a new nation, and that the United States of America were no longer part of the British Empire. Two days later on July 4, 1776, Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence, and as a result the date is celebrated as Independence Day.

“Common Sense,” a pamphlet written by Thomas Payne, was one of the first deeds to inspire the America revolution that is known today. The article revolved around multiple ideas on why they should split from Great Britain, but a main one mentioned was the rights that were currently being exploited. Quartering troops, no representation, and other rights that the British were not upholding motivated the American Colonist to rise up against the British monarchy. To demonstrate, one part of Payne’s booklet declares, “Securing freedom and property to all men, and above all things the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; with such other matter as is necessary for a charter to contain.” In the current country of Great
