The grade I would give my current English 111 class is an A, because it has been a beneficial learning experience for me. The essays given have improved my writing, and it has opened my eyes to the things that I often miss while proofreading. From this class, I learned that Proofreading is highly important, and that re-reading my work numerous times will help in catching some of my mistakes. I also confuse both present and past tense when writing, so from this taking class, I have learned to separate both tenses. From the essays, I also learned that it is important to write by using the English rules, despite writing what only sounds better, which had been my former style of writing. Each writing assignment has a certain structure that I need

Last fall semester was my first semester in college. I took English 111 with the hope of gaining some initial experience with college writing. I am an international student, so it was a struggle at the beginning to understand and meet the expectations of my professor, as well as to catch up with the pace of my peers. However, looking back to what I learnt in English 111, I think the difficulties did not prevent be from having an amazing experience. I was able to learn how to analyze a text, make an argument and support my argument.
This specific task is a shorter writing activity that has a strong writing-reading connection with the
I began my year with four classes and one of them was my fourth block class, Dual Enrollment English 111. Typing papers and discussing interesting readings from the textbook has always been a good end to my day. Through the many English classes I have taken, this class has taught me the most so far. The experiences that I have in this class will guide me through college with a stronger understanding on how to write effectively and efficiently. Through Dual Enrollment English, I have learned how to write a well thought out paper while managing my busy schedule and have learned many lessons along the way.
As a writer I would give myself a 5 out of 10 because writing is not one of my strengths at all even though I try my hardest. English is my second language so for the majority of my high school career I was in ESL classes instead of regular English I, English II, or English III classes. It was not until my senior year that I got into a regular English IV class. Senior year in high school was the first time I was in a regular english class. It was quite challenge

I received an A in the class. I completed most of the work that was given with ease. It was disappointing. I didn’t learn many new words. I wasn’t challenged.
In my text, I did not detect any patterns of word usage, word order or other patters. I did find an instance parallelism in my text. In verses nine and ten, it states, “and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.” When you look at these verses, one notices that the women “told all these things” to eleven and the rest.
Last sentence gives readers a sense of closure. Putting the Pieces Together Now that you know a bit more about the writing process, thesis formation, and basic essay format, it's time to think ahead. Your first essay for this class will be a descriptive essay. You will dig into the shape and form of this type of writing in the next couple of lessons, but for now, here are some ideas to get you started.
Adjust- Evaluate- Learn In the process of writing my Really Big Shoe, I have learned that one obstacle that I have not anticipated was the lack of organization of the structure of my paper. My writing displayed poor structure and organization, causing my paper to lose clarity; while I have a clear idea of the outcomes that I want, there is a difference in between having a clear idea and a structure for the composition of the paper. In order to deal with this obstacle I had to modify my plan of action, instead of starting to write my Really Big Shoe, I started by developing an outline for my paper.
This semester’s class has been very writing intensive for me, as opposed to previous University Seminar courses. However, that is not necessarily a negative comment. In fact, I have learned and enjoyed strengthening my skills in several areas. I am able to understand what the Brontë sisters major themes and life lessons are, and apply it to the present day. Issues about all things be equally treated, different social classes and how they act, what true love looks like.
A grade does not define who you are, but it shows how much effort and work one puts into academics. What matters the most is that you do your best in each subject and come out of it with a greater understanding. I believe that because of my hard work and everything I have learned in World Literature, I deserve an A. Before 10th grade literature, I was not aware of special writing techniques. One of the most important ones being point, example, explain.
