By the time I graduate high school, I will already have my college associate degree that I will have earned through my hard work and dedication. Even though I went through a lot at such a young age, it has shaped me in every possible way. I was exposed to a whole different language and culture, but I was able to succeed through my strong desire of success and dedication. With that, I always make sure that I excel in all my classes and join organizations that will benefit me in the long run. To begin, I am Delancy Elizabeth Anderson and I am more than honored to potentially have the opportunity to become a member of the Yazoo County High School Chapter of the National Honor Society. Moreover, it shows me that I have academically, mentally and spiritually excelled through my years of high school to be a part of something bigger than myself -- National Honor Society. Seeking membership into National Honor Society will not only solidify that I am a diligent student, but the renowned program will shape myself into a greater me. This year for me was an experiment with the clubs. I had only joined a couple because I wanted to make sure I was not too overwhelmed, but I was not so I will be considering to join one or two more to make my life a little crazier. Being nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. The National Honor Society (NHS) is a notoriously prestigious organization, and it is possibly one of the greatest honors a student can earn in their high school career. Becoming a member of the NHS can open many doors for students, including leadership experience and opportunities for college scholarships. Admission for this program is based on certain ideals.
