I Peter Walton should be selected as a member of the National Honor Society because I have clearly portrayed the four characteristics:character, leadership, service and scholarship both in and out of school. I have shown character in school by treating others with kindness and respect and have earned the citizenship award twice during my high school career. Also I work as a cashier at a restaurant and as such I must be very patient with all the customers which has made me grow in character. Just imagine if you were born with not being able you to do any physical activities. Doodle, also known as William Armstrong, was born just like this. The narrator, which is Doodle’s brother, is very proud of what Doodle has accomplished over the past three years of his rough life. There is a plan for the narrator and Doodle to make his life better, maybe even more than one plan. Doodle is a disappointment to the family, until he does physical activities with his brother.

Grants meaningful relationships with Jefferson and others help him improve his mental state and change how he thinks.

In the novel The Running Man by Michael Gerard Bauer, the author captures the experiences of a marginalised character, Tom Leyton. The use of the silkworm metaphor invites the audience to uncover the dark secrets of Tom Leyton 's mysterious past. The introduction of the character Joseph Davidson provides the author with a catalyst to open the metaphor of the silkworm and take the reader on a journey to understand the life experiences of Tom Leyton. Joseph Davidson, who is portrayed as someone with poor self esteem is also described as an outsider. The running man is used by the author to reveal the experiences of Joseph Davidson and demonstrate his growth of becoming less marginalised throughout the novel.

“More weight,” stated by Giles Corey from, “The Crucible,” before he was pressed to death for witchcraft. Giles Corey was one of the oldest people to be killed during the Salem Witch Trials. The Salem Witch Trials was a series of events that took place in 1692, where innocent people were hung for apparently being witches. The people in the trials were tried in court and the girls who accused them would act like the person or people were sending spirits towards them to make the judges believe them. Giles Corey reminds me of myself by his sarcasm during conversations, always acting ornery, and the comical remarks he makes.
As Mila Bron said, “In order to heal we must first forgive…and sometimes the person we must forgive is ourselves.” In “The Seventh Man” by Haruki Murakami the narrator should forgive himself for his failure to save K. because he could have died himself and he was not wholly in control of his actions during the life-or-death situation. The narrator was not responsible for the wave that killed K. and he should not punish himself for something that was out of his control. The narrator blamed himself for K.’s death, but in reality, he was not able to do anything without endangering his own life.

As a teen age boy who wants to find the secrets his girlfriend who left behind all these mysteries after her odd disappearance. It also tells about the lost gothic girl, Anna Cayne, who meets the young high-school aged narrator. Throughout the postcards, a shortwave radio, various CDs, and many other irregular interest.
Why do bullies bully? This is a question many people ask themselves. Why do they do what they do? Well, everyone’s story is different like Julian, the bully in the novel, “Wonder”, by R.J. Palacio. Julian is not someone you would look up to.
Character traits help shape a person into what they are, there are ways to change them and become a better person. In the short story Charles, written by Shirley Jackson, a boy named Charles possessed many different negative character traits in which some include being, obnoxious, dangerous, and disrespectful. Charles displayed immature and unnecessary trouble for all the students and teachers. Being obnoxious means extremely unpleasant and Charles was just that in this short story. Charles possesses the trait obnoxious because all the children in the class were trying to listen to the story while the teacher would be unable to read due to the noise.
