Human societies interact with their environment and adjust it in response to their emerging patterns of production and consumption. Industrial revolution that began in mid-20th century marked a shift to powered, special-purpose machinery, factories and mass production. Since then earth’s climate has changed rapidly and it has now created several major global challenges. Climate change increases the risk of acute events like storms, droughts and floods, cyclical changes in precipitation, or long-term changes in temperature and sea levels. This paper analyses if these trends impact society? Agriculture is one of the main parts of an economy in many countries. Climate change is intensifying challenges for the agriculture sector. It leads to many issues such as poverty, healthcare, food safety and many more. It has effected the global temperature, rainfall frequency and extraordinary weather events are likely, all which will impact agricultural production. World bank report shows that “by 2030, effects of climate change on agriculture will drive people into poverty because of the high food prices.” Higher food prices will devastate the poor and they will have to spend more on food than other essentials. Global warming Would be a huge re distribution of wealth from poor countries to wealthy countries. Most of the poor countries are situated around the equator and temperatures in the area is far hotter than for what’s ideal for economic growth.
