Self confidence is learning and working hard in a particular area mastering the skills needed to succeed difficult challenges. I gained full points in this section but its very crucial to have a clear set goal that builds self efficacy and self esteem to improve your self-confidence. ‘Bandura says that 'self-efficacy ' and 'confidence ' are not quite the same thing. Confidence is a general, not a specific, strength of belief. On the other hand, self-efficacy is the belief in one 's capabilities to achieve something specific.’ Understanding the level of self efficacy is very important so you can identify the areas in which you can improve by making reachable to satisfy your choices.

The resources recommended are extremely useful and I see them as a learning tool to determine success for a myself and my team. My chosen leader for this assignment was my former director of the organization I currently work at, Pennyrile District Health Department, Jim Tolley. He had a vision of a big plan, and the future of not only the organization, but the communities that we serve. According to the requirements of an effective vision, I believe he was a leader to help the organization see and work towards the vision. Four requirements of a effective vision are: establish direction and mobilize the organization, communication, detail on employees part of the vision, and uplifting and inspiring (Manning & Curtis, 2008).
According to King’s College, leadership skills can be developed and learned by all. This may not, however, make an effective leader. An effective leader demands respect, is well liked by the people he is leading, and has a vision or purpose for his group. An effective leader demands respect.
This vision must resonate with team members. I consider this a weakness because the visions I develop do not always pass the four-part litmus test. Typically visions I create are missing team buy-in. To prevent this, I need to involve team members in the vision creation process. Additionally, I must explain the challenges of today and the vision must focus the team’s eyes towards a brighter future. Furthermore, the vision must be achievable and draw team members in with feelings of belonging and excitement.
Self-efficacy is best explained by Bandura (1995) who says that it "refers to beliefs in one's capabilities to organize and execute the courses of action required to manage prospective situations". More simply, self-efficacy is what an individual believes he or she can accomplish using his or her skills under certain circumstances (Snyder & Lopez, 2007). Self-efficacy has been thought to be a task-specific version of self-esteem. The basic principle behind Self-Efficacy Theory is that individuals are more likely to engage in activities for which they have high self-efficacy and less likely to engage in those they do not (Van der Bijl & Shortridge-Baggett, 2002). I think that this research by Snyder & lopez is particularly relevant to Simons case as.

First and foremost, leaders come in all shapes and forms, there is not one set physical mold for them, but what they all do share are certain characteristics and desires. Leadership in and of itself, is the ability to guide others, take responsibility, and share a vision that inspires and leaves others with a sense of empowerment. Evidently, it takes an exceptional leader to exhibit exceptional leadership skills. Additionally, the most prominent act that all adequate leaders demonstrate is that they are steadily engaged in enhancing their leadership skills. There have been various magnificent leaders throughout history, such as Martin Luther King Jr., Sojourner Truth, Nelson Mandela, and Eleanor Roosevelt.
Having an effective leader at the helm of a group of people is an important part of being successful. The best leaders are inspirational, patient, confident, open-minded, decisive, personable, positive, and a smattering of other great qualities. Legendary football coach Vince Lombardi’s profound quote regarding leaders still sticks out to me “Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.” A true leader is gritty and persistent enough to find what really motivates people to become the most successful they can be.

It says that women are more comfortable going out and socializing when they are wearing makeups.
These leaders are in constant motion. They stimulate ideas and creativity, and encourage wise experimentation, and are critical about results and discipline. They do not rely on luck or circumstances to determine their success, but they analyse their situation, and react according to it. When they face bad luck, they learn from it and make any necessary changes, and when they face good luck they continue to follow their principles. Leaders work with the expectation that what they are working for, will become great and will remain great even after they leave their leadership position.
