Assisted suicide is the practice of ending someone 's life.(Newton, 7) A terminal illness is when you have a disease that will end your life within the near future. Some examples of a terminal illness include cancer, stroke, and ALS. Many people disagree with assisted suicide, but it is the better choice for those who do not what their disease to change who they are. The main arguments to allow this in our country is that the tremendous amount of pain and suffering of the patient will end, euthanasia, and health care costs will be reduced. Some people may choose to live their life with dignity and end their life in dignity, but assisted suicide would allow the choice to be their own.

It causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. Depression, even in the most severe cases, can be treated. The earlier that treatment can begin, the more efficient it is. Traumatic events, family problems, and emotional neglect can cause depression, but it is in our hands, as family and friends, to help depressed people
Suicide isn 't something that can be overlooked. It is the third driving reason for death in the youth. Alongside such huge numbers of different things on the planet today, it can be anticipated. Some have lost loved ones to suicide and never got an explanation behind why it happened. There are various hazard factors add to the reason for suicide. There is so much weight put on kids, such as fitting in socially and performing academically that puts them under a huge amount of stress. Real life changes and tormenting can also put self-destructive contemplations into peoples minds. Significant life changes can incorporate divorce , moving, or a death of a loved one.. This places considerations into the those who greif minds that they are at fault. In any case, the most widely recognized factor is despondency. The individuals who have despondency have symptoms of misery or tension may handle it a way that 's not the best. “Understanding stress and learning how to deal with it is extremely important” (Cohen p.165) , not everyone can answer their own thoughts like Hamlet, but every goes through those moments of discouragement and it’s what you do after those moments that count the
“The one place of connection that has the potential to be most stable for all children, teens, and adults alike is the family environment.” Teen suicide has many reasons behind it, some people may not know. Based on Judith Peacock’s research on the subject, “No one is sure why more teens today are taking their own life” (Peacock pg.1). More suicides have been happening without explanation…. Or maybe the answer has always been under our noses. Many suicides could be linked with teen stress and responsibility. Teen responsibility can mean a lot of different things whether it is from getting/keeping a part-time job, being the “popular kid”, or just trying to keep grades up. All of these tasks are a lot easier said than done. It can get so stressful that someone doesn’t think it can be done and just gives up on life, and those around them. Sometimes having all that responsibility on top of normal chores and hormones can feel like WAY too much for one person to take and it might honestly feel like suicide is the only way
Research suggests that over 40,000 people commit suicide each year. Suicide was the tenth cause of death in the United States as of 2013. The most susceptible cause of suicide is depression from alcohol and substance abuse. When a person is drinking excessively or using substances their inhibitions are lowered and this can increase impulsive behavior. Over time the drugs and alcohol can change the brain chemicals which will cause depression. If a person does not commit suicide, they can die from excessive drinking or drugging. The National Violent Death Reporting System stated that in 2007 one-third of suicides in the United States were due to alcohol consumption. 62% of these people had a blood alcohol content of 0.08. I believe suicide is primarily the result of external sociological conditions and circumstances, & internal psychological factors. To understand this in further depth, individuals must have examined the four broad categories of suicide: anger, despair, egoistic, and proactive. First, “Anger suicide includes those individuals who choose to end their lives out of self-contempt, or as a way of exacting revenge on another person” (Harmening, 2014, Pg 101). This particular suicide can fall either into external sociological conditions or internal psychological factors. For example, this individual can be a former solider that has kill innocent civilians lives on the battlefield, affecting him psychological. Another example, is a juvenile killing
Durkheim does not give sufficient considerations to how statistics on suicide are gathered. Critics of altruistic and anomic suicides report that the statistics contain gross inaccuracies. Apparently, when a person dies an official investigates and interprets the death to determine the cause. Thus, what ends up in the official statistics as an anomic or altruistic suicide is an end result of an interpretation and decision-making process.
There many cases that deals with death for the human society. One type that many people dread to hear is suicide. Suicide is taking of one's own life. We don’t understand and question why this behavior may be in many people and how it could happen. College students can have a risk of suicide behavior, for example. Dr. Thomas Joiner works on psychology and treatment of suicidal behavior and explains how this behavior is dealt with. He also describes how the interpersonal theory is connected with suicide behavior.
Teen suicide is a very common in the world today. Teens think the only way to cope and relieve pain they have to commit suicide. They feel like they cannot talk to anyone because the person wouldn’t understand what the teen is going through at the time. This information is a way to learn the warning signs and to help the teens before they go as far as to commit suicide.
According to the interpersonal-psychological theory by Ribeiro , J. D. & Joiner, T. E. et al. (2009) (p.1292) there are two factors that might affect people in attempting to commit suicide. Those are, when people perceived burdensomeness from their environment as they start to have a misperception that their existence just becoming the burden of others and the feelings of thwarted belongingness or feels like they are alienated from the society. The attempt is not instantly happened, but through a long process from someone’s conditions that create an ideations as a wish to die until they have a desire to kill their selves. Joiner, described those process in the “Causal Pathway to Lethal Suicidal Behavior” as what

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once said, “every man has his secret sorrow which the world knows not; and often time we call a man cold when he is only sad.” In this era of globalisation, depression is a hot topic of discussion among the vast society.
