Jurassic Park Monologue

In the stories, it’s all fire, hopeless souls hopelessly screaming, endless pain. I mean, yeah, there’s fire. Lots of it. And there’s tons of screaming too, probably because of the fire. And where there’s fire and screaming, there’s endless pain.

It’s me-squidward. You have probably heard a lot about me from Spongebob and Patrick, whatever they said is probably bad. Saddly, I don’t understand why people think I’m always mean to Spongebob and Patrick and ruin their fun, but you should finally hear my side of the story so you can understand what I have to go through.

Researchers and scientists have constructed extensive research on dinosaur’s extinction. Speculation instead of real evidence seems common in most theories about the dinosaurs’ extinction. However, Jay Gould’s essay “Sex, Drugs, and the Extinction of Dinosaurs” is the complete opposite of speculation over evidence. Rather, Gould uses the mix of persuasive techniques, such as rhetorical questions, logos, along with profound evidence to not only disapprove of other theories but convince readers of his place on the dinosaur’s extinction.

Gloria Skurzynski’s background to writing “Nethergrave” was because of science fiction. Gloria says, “In fantasy, the cause is magic. In science fiction, the role of magic is replaced by advanced technology.”

In the novel Jurassic Park written by Michael Crichton, an arrogant scientist named John Hammond who is the CEO of International Genetic Technologies has created a park called Jurassic Park where dinosaurs are alive and roaming the park. Hammond has little interest in the technical aspect of the genetical engineering and only cares about the profit that he will make when the park opens. My school system wants to make year round school possible, and this is an improbable idea. Year round school with longer breaks will help students be less bored, not forget information, and have more free time. When I return from summer break, I can’t even remember what 2 + 2 is! Summer break is too long and school should be year round with longer breaks throughout the year.

One of them is the important figure John Hammond, a rich and old man who is obsessed with dinosaurs. (Hammond is man with many of these personalities.)
