Summary of managing culture diversity Course

Introduction:
Globalization has been identified as major impact on organization. With this increased, culture diversity has grown & become a trend & more & more important.
Most of the researches have the agreement on the importance of culture diversity management.
Organization stand to gain many advantages from this diversity. According to one study published in Harvard business review, diverse firms are 45% more to have growth in market share & 70% likely to get into a new market. (!) Also they added that the key to organization excellence.

Understanding it will help to know why people act, think the way they do. This is the reason that is important to know about the individual’s vales. Values often underlies & explain the attitudes, behavior, morality & perception. So having such knowledge about the value can provide insight & understanding about the person.
 Human Synergistic:
Life style inventory (LSI) has been created in the 70’s by clayton latferty. It combines several major theories about human nature which measure the level of effectiveness on 12 specific style of thinking, behaving & interacting. His model identifies the strength & highlighted the area of improvements. It provides a feedback on behavioral pattern that people can improve & work on it.

It is approaching tasks in forceful ways to protect their states & security. It is more task oriented that comes under it ( oppositional,power,competitive & perfectionist). o The constructive style:
It is about interacting with others & approaching tasks in way that will help them to meet higher order satisfaction needs. It covers achievements, self-actualization, humanistic encouraging
Having idea about this model could lead us to think more about changing process to take us to the next level. Once we decide to change whether as individual or as an organization; we will go through the changing steps:

Eric berne emphasized in a different way that people can switch between different state which is aggregated into three types (parent, adult & child).For example at power stage we deal with employee as a child. So understanding this model will enable us to make the communication & maintain better relationship.
