Mark Mathabane uses the rhetorical triangle which involves ethos, pathos, and logos. The one he tends to use the most is logos because it appeals to logic. Throughout his writing there is credibility based off of his personal experiences that he endured and turned into a positive. For example walking away from getting rape or abuse by those men or even worse.
