I felt a warm hand on my back waking me up with “Honey do you want to go to work with me? The teachers have meetings all day, so you didn’t have preschool!!!” I rolled over to look at my alarm and it was 6:30 am but I still answered with a yes, and remembered it was the 11th, a Tuesday. My mom picked out a nice outfit, jeans and a plaid shirt that was navy blue, red, and white. My dad was already at work, he is a hero who fights fires and saves people! On the way to work my mom picked up Benji and his mom, benji is my bestest friend ever, we have known each other since we were one year old. We stopped at panera, me and benji both got a strawberry banana smoothie, and the mom 's got an egg sandwich. On the way there we saw that the new breakfast …show more content…
My mom works in the north tower, on the 103 floor, it’s pretty scary but it’s also pretty. My mom is the boss of the company and has a very generous assistance, his name is Jack, sometimes he plays with us and takes us down to the food court to get snacks! My mom holds my hand while i 'm holding benji’s and he 's holding his moms. When we got in the elevator there was a creepy man, one with a very long beard, a guy yelling on the phone, a girl very impatient, someone who kept farting and my mom’s assistance who I think is one of the nicest people in the building. On the way up to 103 floor my mom kept checking her watch like something was going to happen or she was late, I saw on her watch that it was 7:21. When we finally got up to the 103 floor me and Benji ran to our mom’s offices while Jack was trying to slow us down. I took out my coloring stuff, mini football, stuffed animal, and board games. Jack asked if I wanted to play a board game with me, of course I said yes, I went to get benji, he was also getting out all of his stuff, I asked him if he wanted to play sorry with me and Jack he answered with a …show more content…
It was a firefighter, when I got up they ran me to a ambulance, when we were running I saw Benji with a breathing mask and a lot of people around him, I started to cry again. I had to get stitches and I also had a shattered arm. When they said I could walk I went to look for my mom and dad, then all of our memories went through my head, my mom there on the first day of preschool, when I dislocated my arm, the first time I ever rode my bike and also for my first time on a two wheeler, but she wasn’t here when I got my stitches, I had to at least find her and make 100,000,000,000 more memories with her. I ran through the rubble trying to find her but when I looked to the left I saw the firefighters carrying a dead woman, my mom. Then I noticed I was stepping on something it was my dad’s helmet. I started to scream, I saw many dead people that worked for my mom and other businesses. A firefighter came over to me and hugged me he said that my dad was okay but my mom didn’t make it out. He lead me to my dad and i saw him in one of the beds that looked like mine he has a broken foot, concussion, and had to get a lot of stitches. I hugged him for the shortest five minutes of my life even though that day was the longest, worst, miserable day of my entire life. Benji never found his mom and his dad was already in a better place so my dad adopted him. The first couple of weeks after the attack Benji would just start crying, I usually hug but sometimes I
I was sitting in a big brown chair and my dad asked me if I wanted to hold her I said yes so then my dad gave her to me and I was scared so I gave her back to my dad after 2min.
The whole time I told myself and dad that she is going be okay, she was in hospital before and came home. My mother die at age of 45-year-old left husband, four daughters and one son. I look back and think about how I could not go in her room and see the way she looks. My mother was rip of life and just a shell of flesh soul gone to the heavens.
My dad had plans to go skydiving and told me he wanted me to go with him after what had happened the night before. My dad called my mom in the morning to talk to her about what I had done to make sure she didn’t wake up freaking out because I wasn’t there. My mom didn’t answer her phone so my dad left a voicemail. It was around one-thirty in the afternoon and my dad, his friends, and myself were eating at a restaurant before we headed home. We had just ordered our food when my mom called my dad.
The truck driver got out the truck asking me if I was ok but I ran down the sidewalk to my house to tell my mom.
The balloons are out, the flowers are in bloom, I smell summer. I smell a summer like no other. Not because the groundhog came out early this year, or because I was one year older, but because I was a graduate, from Gilkey International middle school (finally). Sophie comes up to me yelling, super excited for the night ahead, graduation. As we rehearse our ceremony, in our high inched heels and dainty fake eyelashes Charlie runs up behind us screaming in our ear jumping us out of our own skin.
It was my mother, crying she asked me “oh baby, are you okay. You must be so scared.” “What happened” I questioned. I am not sure, but what I do know is that we just witnessed a big part of history. The next day I was eating breakfast with my father when he asked me to go to the store again, so just like that I was back to the store.
My dad was nowhere to be seen. i saw him run back into the house but that's it. I don't know why i kept wanting someone to say something. Maybe i was searching for an explanation for what was happening. I knew what i was watching, but i couldn't understand or make sense of it.
Breath was rushing out the kid who wore a Gray and blue uniform, the boy 's hair was black and poked straight up in twisted curls, he had brown eyes that looked like dirt, he was strong and athletic, his name was D’haquille Jones, and I was DhaQuille Jones, staring down at the newly glazed floorboards of John Pickett high school gym. The ref blew the whistle signaling that our time out was over, and all we had was thirteen precious seconds to beat the Valencia high. I jogged onto the court, adrenaline rushing through my body. The ref tossed the ball towards Chris, once he had found the open man he lobbed it over the oncoming defender. Calling for the ball I sprinted around my defender to get open.
It was a hectic day. My friend had to call and have his grandparents pick him up which took about 45 minutes because they lived kind of far away. During that time, my dad told me “pack your bags, we need to go visit your grandmother” I remember that I didn’t pack much because I couldn’t think. My mom immediately booked us plane tickets to Portland. It was super close but we made the flight.
I was still wet because I had just hopped out of thee shower so some of the sand clung to my body and made a nightmare of trying to get off because I was in my fancy clothes a aqua blue golf shirt and khaki shorts that are brown but after the sand was poured it was a camo khaki shorts not plain brown. After I finally got the sand out of my hair and off my pants we finally arrived after the thirty minute ride to the restaurant. I thought that maybe that was all they would do because that was the only thing that I saw them bring so we went in at 7:30 pm and got our food between eight ten and eight fifteen I ordered my favorite thing the ribs which came with two racks instead of one so my brother asked for the rack I wanted and he always gets what he wants so he got the ones I wanted and the rest of the kids hated what they got and each got two ribs so I had about four ribs to eat and nothing else so Aidan bragged and bragged about how good they are and was at my point of no return of how angry I
I felt a cold breeze throughout the house like I was in a field out in the wind. I got up and my father was still here he told me to go out and get the garbage. I went and did that my drive way was really long so it took me about a minute to get it to the curb. On my way back I heard a scream like I had never heard before. The sound hit me like a bullet.
“Niyah, when you come in here for a second, please,” my mom said. “Oh no,” I thought. “It was only 8 o’clock in the morning! What could I have possibly done?” I washed my hands and went to my mom’s room.
I wake up one morning with sweat dripping down my forehead and i 'm breathing very heavily. My dad comes in the room because of how scared I was. He asks me “what 's wrong?” I say “I had a dream that I was in a coma from getting hit so hard and everyone was around me crying.” I get to school and i 'm around all of my friends
I hit eh tree at a slight angle which prevented my head from making contact with the tree, but meant that the entirety of the force was put on my inner left thigh. In the blink of an eye, I was on my back, in pain, and wanting to see my mom. Turns out she wanted to see me too. She fully ran down the side of the iced over hill in order to get to me without falling while my dad crept down the side. After making sure that I did not hit my head, They put me on a sled and carried me back to the
I was putting my Halloween costume on when I heard something moving in my closet. I turn to the closet door half dressed with a curious look on my face. In my mind, it being Halloween, I thought I was just hearing things or my little brother was playing a prank on me. I walk out the door to my room, down the stairs and as I was about to walk out the front door my father caught me, “Where are you going?” he asked “Out, it’s
